Nice Surprise

A friend suggested spontaneously to meet up @ Ginger one evening, and although the tuk tuk driver was familiar with "The House," he didn't know where Ginger was. Finally arriving a little late, I was pleasantly surprised at the casual but elegant ambiance and quickly felt right at home. We sat... read more

Industrial Shabby Chic decor with lots of color and creativity. One of the most comfortable places to sit and hang out in Chiang Mai over tea, coffee, meals or snacks. We've been going since their opening and have often done our upscale parties here. The food and service can be hit (great) or miss (weak), but the menu is one... More

The ambiance and decoration of this place is wonderful without a doubt and the staff are nice. However, I was hugely disappointed by our dinner, as there were only about 3-4 vegetarian options, as my mom is vegetarian, (out of a menu of at least 20 main dishes) which is ridiculous for such a popular and relatively upscale place. I... More

In a city that has great food in an exciting atmosphere this place is just ok. They seemed to have a Western-ized Thai feel but the place was empty and the decor didn't lend well to being the first guests. We had Tom yum soup which was ok (I had better in the street in Bangkok), red curry which was... More

We were looking for a nice restaurant after eating street food everyday. We've chosen it because it was recommended in our guide and we've been more and happy about it. Service and food were excellent, even if our Main course was a bit long to come and the beef slightly overcooked. Staff is really friendly and the room is amazing.... More

This is a lovely place to eat, very elegant! The food and cocktails were delicious and the atmosphere was charming. Of course, the prices were much much higher than most anything else you'll find in the area so if you're on a budget this isn't the place for you! Beef massaman curry was 300 baht (lamb 560 baht) for example,... More

We always dine at this restaurant when we are in town. Just a stone away from my favorite b&b, we find this place a hidden gem. We, as a local, always dine among a bunch of foreign visitors and long stay residents. Love the cozy ambience and the colorful decoration. The Thai foods here are highly recommended especially the combination... More

While in Chiang Mai on our honeymoon, my husband and I dined at Ginger & Kafe for dinner. The restaurant ambiance is excellent and there are bright colors and interesting decor. The service was also very good and the staff very eager to ensure you have a good experience. The menu was limited and we were less than impressed with... More

Lovely restaurant great ambience and food. Restaurant was fully booked but waitress found us a spot in bar at 'house' next door while we waited and it was well worth the wait. All the food was beautifully cooked and was easily the best Thai curry we had during the holiday.
