OK but not great

The setting is really nice with lush planting and greenery, plus a lake and waterfall. The food and service however were just about OK. Nothing wrong particularly, but I've eaten a lot better in restaurants around Chiang Mai. The service was also lacklustre and a bit disinterested.

This restaurant is stunning! The atmosphere, the smell of the flowers and water, the sound of the waterfall, everything is visually and pleasing. The food is reasonably priced and the two times that we've eaten there, we've had no issue with our dinner in any way. The desserts are particularly delicious. Most recently we visited this venue with a large... More

The surroundings are stunning. The serving is very poor. Deep fried chicken we had to send it back because it was not fully cooked. Pineapple curry with pork was very tough in the flesh. Beef steak (New Zealand) was cut up into small pieces and served lukewarm. When we complained we got 10% discount. Should be at least 50%. No... More

This is one of the few times I have seen such a big place being able to maintain such a good level of service and food quality. Tip 1: do not go there without reservation Tip 2: ask for a table by the water Tip 3: if you have small kid do not hesitate to order for them first and... More

This is a restaurant worth seeking out. It's a little out of the way, but Chiang Mai has so few eating places that combine good food and beautiful surroundings. It's a restaurant in a rainforest complete with waterfalls. The menu is typical Thai food mixed with Thai -Chinese dishes. BUT it's really good Thai food. Everything we tried was delicious.... More

Thinking that having eaten at Palaad up the mountains of Chiang Mai (overseeing the city), I didn't expect to be blown away by the beautiful surroundings of this restaurant, beautifully decorated by fauna and flora with a waterfall thrown in! The vast spaces and the cool weather (in fact, it was cold the night we were here) in the al... More

A wonderful experience from the parking lot to the table. Exotic, large, and mature trees, ferns, orchids, plants, and a full-sized waterfall. Definitely someone here is connected with Royal Flora Fauna and has incorporated so many beautiful, large, and expensive plants. Kids in strollers, couples, and old folks really enjoyed it. The food is a slightly expensive and smaller portions... More

With just a hop away from the Royal Park Rajapruek, and indeed with a beautiful surrounding and atmosphere, this restaurant had a lot to promise. Yet the service was appallingly slow, dishes came with 10min in between, the flavour was flat. Not even taking into consideration that this was our most expensive dinner while in ChiangMai, it was also our... More

The ambiance and decoration of the restaurant is nice. Outdoor seating is great, but mosquito repellent is needed particularly during dinner time. The food is spicy and remains authentic. The staff is skillful.
