Tea in a peaceful garden!

It is always a great pleasure to come here for a tea or coffee in this elegant setting. I like to sit in the garden watching the squirrels jumping from one branch to another. We have a feeling of travelling back to history, where outside is the busy town centre.

I have dined at this tea house many times over the years. I have decided to review it now as I think I can now be fair to this cafe using my present and past experiences to base my comments on. The reasons I like going here is because of the location, it's set back from the noise of the... More

Tearoom is behind the Caledon Pottery shop with inside seating and a pretty walled garden at the back. Walk through the shop, sit inside near a fan or venture into the garden. Extensive menu including nice fresh spring rolls and fruit drinks. Pottery is also most attractive. OK one down point this old colonial house is alongside a open large... More

Second visit here. I had the driver drop me off while my wife trundled off to the market which is relatively nearby. The house is an old colonial style building that was painstakingly (one suspects at not inconsiderable expense) restored a number of years ago by the Raming family and now serves as a shop for Celadon (Thai version of... The food is great but it's rather expensive by Chiangmai standards. However, the Tea House offers great ambiance and a pleasing selection of teas.

This is a welcoming haven when you need a restful break from the temple hopping/shopping/other sight-seeing. It is situated in a beautiful house on one of the main through roads (Tha Pae Rd). The front section of the house is a showroom for the famous Celadon ceramic ware and there is also a shop selling nice jewellery. Then you come... More

Lovely selection of loose tea, it is not too far from the old city. It is quite expensive so we just ordered tea. Shame that every now and again get you got a draft bringing along the smell of damp stagnate water from the stream next to the building. Pleasant garden area, comfortable. Cute small loose leave in small tubs... More

This place is lovely, has a great nicely decorated terrace. The food is tasty, tea and juices too. Service is however slow, would recommend better attention to customers and not rush the bill if it hasn't been asked for.

Great place to step out of a busy Chiang mai world and go back to a time of garden parties, tea, cakes and sandwiches. Nowadays there is a much larger range of meals availiable as well as a large variety of drinks, but nevertheless the service and ambience is first class. Situated in the rear of the old beautifully retsored... More
