Always authentic. Always a pleasure. Always perfect

I live in Chiang Mai because of business. I travel extensively. I eat well and I also eat on the cheap. I try every food and I never cook because god invented restaurants adv tripadvisor so I use both. It is a nice intermezzo from the Thai food, which is excellent, but if you want some exquisite pasta or seafood with a good Chianti, Piccolo Roma is the place to be! You will get to meet with the chef, if you are lucky he will even make you taste his great Limoncello. The Thai staff is also very professional... More

My boyfriend and I were there twice and we loved the food. Proper italian pizza and great pasta. The service is really good as well, they are very quick and super nice. If you'd like to have a break from the thai food, definitely give this place a go.

Although this place might not look so inviting from the outside, I fully recommend it if you want to enjoy pure Italian flavors on your plate. First of all there is Angelo, the now 73! year old master chef, a very charming host, who makes you feel like you are having dinner in Rome rather than Chiang Mai. A very... More

We found this place a couple of years ago when we first came to Thailand and were desperately looking for an escape from the rice. We fell in love with this place pretty quickly as everybody of the staff was very welcoming and friendly. We got to talk with the owner, a terrific guy and we had a blast. The... More

Nice setting, nice location. Drinks were very over priced, 175 for a Heineken , 160 for a large Singha (ridiculous). Soft drinks were about 70 if I remember. Service was good and attentive. To start we had mussels which were very nice. Main we had pizza and lasagna. the pizza base was really not good. The base was not thin... More

Thank you for eating at Piccola Roma Palace, but here is my explaination. In UK, one draft beer in the pub is about 4 pound. No.1 The large beer in the supermarket is about 100-110 baht so it's impossible to sell at the same price at the supermarket. no.2 Soft drink such as Singha water, soda water is 35-45 Baht... More

We thought our meal would be good after a teaser of all the awards that were hanging up. Despite our high expectations, we were not disappointed. The service was terrific, wine was gorgeous and the food, well, amazing. Thank you for a wonderful evening team Piccola.

This restaurant deserves high scores not only because of the food quality, but also because the owner has apparently been able to maintain a consistently high standard of service even after so many years of business in Chiang Mai. Both the starter "mozzarella caprese" and the pasta dishes were quite good and abundant, and the final tiramisu was really excellent.... More
