I'm a raw vegan and I've spent six days in Chiang Mai. I was very happy to find a raw vegan place (called Giva Organic Vegan Raw Food & Drink) and booked a room close to it so that I could eat there every day during my stay in Chiang Mai. Giva is within walking distance from the entrance to... More

This place was easy to find for me, just entered the address from Tripadvisot into Google maps, and Voilà. The place is small (place for about 9 people), but the owner has good taste with a simple and elegant interior. Even the cutlery was beautiful! The music in the background was calm and called for relaxation. I was the only... More

Myself and two friends visited here and loved it. The eggplant lasagne was delicious! We also tried the sushi which was tasty, and the carbonara pasta which was creamy but needed some extra depth of flavour. The restaurant is tiny and it does take a little while to prepare the food with only one chef but it's worth the wait.

After hearing such great things about Giva. I rented a bicycle to get myself there only to find it disappointingly closed. So today I do the same thing and still closed!! What's going on are they closed for good?

Small but air/conditioned! The only vegetarian style restaurant with a/c and the best food on the planet prepared by a master chef. In Chiang Mia "raw" translates into wait! Don't be in a hurry for the best food on the planet:-) Right past Foxy Lady about 75 meters.

The wait was a little long but the food was delicious. All the ingredients were so fresh and there was great texture throughout the dish. This is a great chiang Mai alternative for when you feel like eating a salad except it tricks your mind because even though it's raw vegetables, it feels like you are eating a pasta entree.

Just back from my first visit to Giva Vegan - and it was amazing ! I had the Pad thai. So flavorful.. carrots, green papaya, zucchini in a tasty sauce with just a tiny bit of heat. It was perfect. I will definitely be back to work my way through the rest of the menu.

I've been there once and had a very good meal (pesto pasta), but most of the dishes they use honey. :(
