Just gorgeous - food and surroundings

Joined the Ex Pat Ladies Lunch for a tongue tingling experience. Hosted in the former British Consulate's residence and dating from 1921, the ambience is pure colonial with walls lined with books and other memorabilia. Not cheap, but worth the money. See the link for typical menus... read more

This is a very upmarket restaurant and the prices reflect that. The decor of the hotel and the restaurant are exceptional, sitting by the Ping River is an attractive way to spend an evening. The service is exemplary as you would expect. The menu is broad but not extensive, mainly western dishes with a lot of imported meats and fish.... More

Every morning we ate breakfast here and several lunches. The eggs benedict were amazing, and sitting beside the river, under the trees, just amazing. I sat here reading, watching and taking photos of a net fisherman across the river and eating for several hours three different days. Dinner was always across the street at the night market. Highly recommend for... More

The cuisine offered at the Anantara is typical of exceptional cuisine served in a 5 star setting. The restaurant is in the Anantara Hotel which is located on the river and across the street from entrances to the Night Market. Although you have a choice of international cuisine, the Thai and Asian dishes are the best. The Pad Thai is... More

Had a lovely time at dinner . The setting was beautiful by the riverside and the city lights in the distant ... Live soft music and awesome food... Service was great too!!

the setting next to the river under an enormous tree is really unique, food extremely tasty , fantastic service. A little expensive but definitely worth it. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Stunning riverside restaurant - not too big with excellent service and great food. The breakfast menu is extensive and delicious. Enjoyed an amazing selection of Indian food!

We had a beautiful meal here, excellent quality & courteous service, with a pianist & saxophonist, then a singer & guitarist embellishing the ambience in a way that only good live music can. We sat outside close to the river as it got dark and you could see but not hear the city close by. There was too little choice... More

We were two families for a total of nine, and the service has been slow and uncoordinated, not what i'd expect from such a hotel and restaurant. While the food was ok, the service - quality - price is definitely not.
