This place is nearby many of the guesthouses along Ratchapakhinai Road. It was just a few doors away from TK Guest House, where we'd stayed. Since TK doesn't serve breakfast, we spent most of our mornings here having breakfast. The local and farang food are generally excellent and good value for money. Tasty green curry and the croissant is good... More

Popped in here twice for food, drawn in by the low prices, had the curry both times which was really nice, my partner option for the humus which was really good. They also do very nice fruit shakes. Service was fast both times and food came out very quickly.

The milkshakes here are excellent - 5 stars. The food is not as good but still is decent enough, tasty and good value. The service is always friendly though the toilet arrangements are a little odd; basically you use the family toilet I think. Had several decent meals here whilst in Chiang Mai.

We only had drinks at the Funky Monkey, but they were incredible! My husband had the Funky Monkey shake (espresso and banana), and I had a hot latte. Both were fantastic and the staff very kind.

Fantastic drinks and smoothies! A nice, cheap and tasty lunch spot, couldn't believe how great the falafels were!

We eat here for lunch and dinner. By far the cheapest and best quality food going I. Chaing mai. Try their smoothys, we like the coconut and ask for it with yoghurt. They don't put ice in which means the flavour and texture is better. The food is out of this world and only about 40baht per meal. Recommend to... More

I've been staying just down the street from Funky Monkey and I love coming here in the mornings for a Muesli and Coffee. The Lady and her family who runs it are super friendly and polite. The shakes are something to experience on a hot day, Coffee and banana Shakes (Funk Monkey) and the Banana Chocolate (Choco-chimp) are excellent (if... More

The Funky Monkey is a nice little cafe in the old quarter. It's right at the end of the soi for Julie Guesthouse, so I came here a lot for breakfast. They have a good mix of Thai and Western food. The two things I'd highly recommend are the Funky Monkey Shake (Espresso and Bananas) and the fruit muesli (all... More
