The night bazaar is a great place to practice your haggling, do some shopping for t-shirts, trousers, clothes and souvenirs. I recommend the hand carved soap sculptures as they are just amazing if you can keep in safe and intact. To be honest it is just a typical night bazaar in Thailand, but still is liked it. There are also... More

Many of the below reviews all have the same messgae which is that a night market is a night market is a night market... However Kalare offers Muay Thai matches at an outdoor ring that is equal parts tourists and locals. I really enjoyed it and highly recommend.

This is a typical night bazaar in Thailand showcasing lots of fake goods and products of inferior quality. However, if you are feeling bored, this place can offer you to plainly people watching and enjoy the crowd. Lotsa of street food here which I like personally.

Night market was disappointing. We enjoyed both the Saturday and Sunday markets much better! Although this market is mostly outside, the road is not closed off and the sidewalk market is very narrow...really not worth visiting.

It is essentially a requirement for tourists in Chiang Mae to go to the night bazaar. It is very large with countless eateries and stalls selling typical and mostly cheap Thai goods. Most people seem to be tourists, not locals. It is a lot of fun, but not the best venue to buy things.

We were specifically looking for handicraft and similar articles. There was a huge range of these items are very affordable prices - one needs to bargain of course (politely). The one downside to the night market (on the outside) is that the temp carts that set up shop really cramp walking space and people are unable to move if any... More

Open from 6pm-12am. Lots of vendors. Some good deals but be prepared to bargain hard. Huge number of massage places. Didn't try any. 15-20 food stalls. Generally 40-80B for Thai noodles or rice dishes. More for fish/prawns, meats but still way less than elsewhere. A fun evening.

It was way too crowded for us to truly enjoy the experience. There were people pushing around you everywhere that you simply couldn't stop to look let alone buy. The eating places were also full of people. The Sunday walking street market is a much better option.

This page on TripAdvisor is actually for the restaurant at the Kalare Night Bazaar, which is labeled "Food Center" and is near to the D2 hotel. There is another page labeled "Night Bazaar" under "attractions" which is for the night bazaar itself. The food at the food center is very decent. We had a nice meal there. Very, very cheap.... More
