Back to July 5th, 1978, on Setsiri Road opposite to Wichaiyut Clinic (at present, Southern Wichaiyut Hospital), a small Thai restaurant is situated. At that time, it originates food from our restaurant's original recipe. Later one, it becomes model for various restaurant widely, such as Fried Pork Ribs with Salted Soya Beans Dip, Freeze Beer, Fried Catfish Spicy Salad, etc.

At the present, Samsen Villa Restaurant still serves Thai food and beverage with the same original taste. Moreover, the environment is friendly providing warmth tough to the customers. In addition of the Freeze Beer, or various popular dishes such as Curry Dish of Fresh Water Shell with Acasia and Piper Herb Fried, Twisted Cluster Bean with Prawn, Braised Goat with Chinese herbs, Royal Style Pork Satay's recipes originated by "Jae Kieng" has underlined that the Samsen Villa Restaurant plays only original Thai music, as to remain Thai touch and feel in old classic age. This is considered as our major policy.

I am pretty impressed

I am currently staying above this restaurant in the Rimping Condominium. I have eaten their food quite a few times and have been really impressed. They have a huge menu and it is all delicious and reasonably priced. The fact that they deliver upstairs is a huge bonus.

We left it until the last minute to book a table for NYE and the manager of our hotel recommended this place. After reading a few mixed reviews we decided to order from the Asian menu... Curries were ok, nothing more, and the savoury roast duck was gristle and fat covered in a cornflour sauce. Picked fish salad was awful.... More

This is one of those restaurants you save for a special occasion. It has an extensive menu, and all the food ordered by our party of seven was well presented and appetizing. Their signature dishes are particularly so. Here they are also famous for their presentation of beer in frozen glass pitchers which have ice in the bottom. It makes... More

Good location. Just on Mae Ping River bank, facing west, so good for outdoor dinner. It's signature "Almost frozen gel Beer" may not be liked by foreigners, but Thai people love it. Cuisine list is almost the same as the main branch in Samsen, Bangkok (thus this name). However, when there's group tour at the tables, the order is darn... More

If you enjoy the taste of original branch in Samsen train station in Bangkok, this branch at the Ping riverside will be better in taste and north local foods with cool breeze from the river, nice for dining at evening and night. One disadvantage is the efficacy of the waitors and waitresses to respond to your order and take too... More

This was a night that we planned back in Australia for a long time. It did not let us down. We had a lovely table overlooking the river as planned. We had perused the menu prior and chosen a seafood entree followed by a soft shell crab dish and then flambé bananas and pannacote, all perfect. The waiter was fantastic,... More
