Back to July 5th, 1978, on Setsiri Road opposite to Wichaiyut Clinic (at present, Southern Wichaiyut Hospital), a small Thai restaurant is situated. At that time, it originates food from our restaurant's original recipe. Later one, it becomes model for various restaurant widely, such as Fried Pork Ribs with Salted Soya Beans Dip, Freeze Beer, Fried Catfish Spicy Salad, etc. At the present, Samsen Villa Restaurant still serves Thai food and beverage with the same original taste. Moreover, the environment is friendly providing warmth tough to the customers. In addition of the Freeze Beer, or various popular dishes such as Curry Dish of Fresh Water Shell with Acasia and Piper Herb Fried, Twisted Cluster Bean with Prawn, Braised Goat with Chinese herbs, Royal Style Pork Satay's recipes originated by "Jae Kieng" has underlined that the Samsen Villa Restaurant plays only original Thai music, as to remain Thai touch and feel in old classic age. Great Local's Restaurant On The River

We were directed to this restaurant by a local shopkeeper and she was right. It was full of Thai's and local westerners enjoying great thai food, but also well priced steak. Really quiet spot on the river and not smashed by tourists. Fantastic tom yum kung and thai salads. A really big menu that... read more

The place looks amazing, near the river with good views of you're lucky to get a table with a view. We chose poorly from the extensive menu, and had comparatively expensive and not interesting food. So skip the soft shell crab, curry paste with vegetables and stir fried vegetarian with noodle.

Went there for my wife´s birthday for some nice dining experience late afternoon, I ordered a Pork chop steak for my wife, a chicken salad and a T-Bone steak for myself. The Chicken salad was served first - a plate with salad leaves and 4 pieces of grilled and dry chicken - Not mixed but everything was separate on the... More

My wife and I dinned twice at the Samsen. On our first visit, our waiter was so wonderful and attentive we decided to visit again the following night. Different experience the second time around. Nobody spoke English and the food left something to be desired. The steak was tough and the pork was overdone and tough as well. To the... More

If there is one thing that a Thai restaurant should get right then it's the rice.. Even street carts get this right most of the time. When they served old mushy rice that was almost off, and then were very slow and unprofessional in dealing with it, we just paid up and left. Maybe the Western food is better, we... More

This was overpriced for what we got. We found the menu very hard to work out too. There many other places that are much better.

Nice location and good service. Food was average and due to that too expensive. Many places at lakeside are like that. Trendy look, highso prices but unfortunately the food is not good enough for such places
