Pun Pun took a second attempt to find it, but once it was found, it was our eating place while in Chiang Mai. First of all, make you sure you enter the grounds of the Wat Suan Dok (temple) off Suthep Road, as it is actually past the Main Temple and behind the Monk's Chat Room. Pun Pun is out... More

Great place for breakfast and brunch - the shakes and mixed drinks are really delicious and the food is produced in an ethical manner/ organic/ Veggie/ local produce - Service was a bit slow but it was very very busy so I guess it's to be expected! Worth a try.

It is amazing what they can do without using any meat and presentation of the dishes was gorgeous. We had the creamy & sour avocado salad and a noodle dish, a soy chai tea, and bananas in hot coconut milk. The tea was bland, the noodles were good but not great, the avocado salad was a bit too sour, and the... More

We have tried many vegetarian restaurants in Chiang Mai (and written about them here: http://www.neverendingvoyage.com/chiang-mai-vegetarian-restaurants/) and Pun Pun is still our favourite. The setting is lovely, menu extensive, food always delicious and beautifully presented, and it's one of the cheapest veggie restaurants in town. Don't miss it.

We went twice to Pun Pun. The first time we loved it: great atmosphere in a shady courtyard behind the temple, friendly staff, and a really interesting menu of veggie food. We ordered a lot and it was truly delicious. We eagerly went back and only then noticed that the washing-up hut (the restaurant is open-air and there are two... More

While we didn't actually stay here we did eat there and it was delicious!!! the portions were huge for the price. you can tell all dishes right down to the spring rolls were of homemade authentic cuisine. would recommend to anyone looking for a cute get away from the busy streets if chiang mai.

...but I had really bad diarrhea after eating there. What they call a "beautiful location" on their website, is actually not. I mean, the temple itself and surroundings are beautiful, but Pun Pun is located on the back of an average thai-style building. There is nothing around except many mosquitoes and one big tree, so bring your repellent if you... More

This is a holy place and I felt in veggie heaven. The menu has so many delicious food for vegetarians, vegans and lovers of pure fresh biological food. It is a peaceful place where the monks have their meal. I had a green salad with grilled pumpkin, potato, eggplant, tomato and pineapple. You can choose fresh made dressings. I also... More

Everything I've tried on the menu (which has plenty of options) so far was simply delicious, loved the yellow curry pasta! From experience, non-vegetarians love Pun Pun just as much as vegetarians do, so it's a safe bet if you're in a "mixed" crowd. The surroundings are nice, it's quiet and peaceful, perfect for a dinner with friends.

A great vegetarian restaurant in a wonderful setting. Inside a famous Wat in Chiang Mai the tables are nestled around a Banyan tree and there are often monks there enjoying the cuisine as well. Wonderful organic vegetarian food beautifully displayed and very reasonably priced. Everything on the menu is good!
