I took My family a party of five to dine at Le Coq this was a truly marvellous evening, the complementary transport turned up on time, dining experience was not cold and stuffy but we had warm attentive service with charm that had us feeling quite at home. The meal courses were delicious and at a relaxed but efficient pace.... More

It's a travel back in time when French food was simple, creamy and classic. All fits: decor, ambiance, service, fresh baguette and plenty of butter curls, good honest wine list and great service with white and black dressed waiters. All male staff of course! Live music goes well along. We will be back for sure! Merci.

I have just returned from a short break in Paris and thought that l should try one of the best French restaurants in Chiang Mai to compare. Le Coq D'or offers a romantic atmosphere, great service, it is everything that you want for that 'special occasion' , but moreover it has great food, although it is pricey, you get what... More

A good solid meal and we really enjoyed the old time pianist and bass player and the classic french fare. It would be a shame for these old classic restaurants in Thailand to close as they represent a bygone era when the wealthy Thai's loved all things French. We had the Chateaubriand which was lovely quality meat with a great... More

Felt like I was in a time warp trapped in a typical French restaurant from the 70's. Food was OK but too classical and stuffy for my liking. Very conservative and old school/style.

They sent a car to our hotel as part of their service. Like being in London in the 50's. Restaurant was beautiful, service impeccable, and food excellent. A duo played music. Just a great evening!

Excellent food. Excellent service. Beautiful gardens and restaurant. Highly recommended for special occasions, first date, last dates, anniversaries and birthdays. One of the nicest if not the nicest restaurant in Chang Mai. You will return.

Fantastic french cuisine, a romantic and elegant restaurant with a fascinating history (which we had to ourselves) and live music to dance to. What more could you ask for (other than an excuse to avoid dancing)?
