Fantastic french cuisine, a romantic and elegant restaurant with a fascinating history (which we had to ourselves) and live music to dance to. What more could you ask for (other than an excuse to avoid dancing)?

If you get tired of cheap Thai or average service then try this place. Not for backpackers White tablecloth and napkins, flowers on the table and they know how to treat a good bottle of wine Lots of history as an old British consulate post and they have continued the elegance The bread is superb and freshly baked. Vegetables were... More

Definitely great food great ambience...even though I must say if the people playing music do sing that they take more singing lessons as sometimes it ruins the mood when they sing a note flat. The food was good. Everything is really pricey though compared to the rest of Chiang Mai. Expect to spend like 2000 baht per head if you... More

This could have easily been 4 stars, but something held me back... Maybe the atmosphere lacked something. Food was good, service was good.... Just something missing and I can't put my finger on it!

Elegant decor, aceptable french food. A little pretentious atmosphere. They had music wich was very enjoyable. Somewhat expensive for what it was and it was kind of empty. Does not have much atmosphere.

We paid an exceptionally large amount of money (especially by Thai standards) to enjoy the new years eve set menu. Not only was the food nothing special, but 2 out of 4 of our party spent the night vomiting after eating there. The dessert petit fours failed to arrive at our table, and when I did ask about them we... More

I can only say everything about this restaurant was great! I had the Caesar Salad with Prawns, and Duck and an ice cream dessert. The meal was expensive! The service could not have been better! I was lead to believe this restaurant was the number 1 restaurant in all of Thailand! There was a two piece band the evening we... More

Don't think twice about not going here. Whilst pricey it is 110% value for the amazing food and impeccable service you get. Only thing is they serve cruel food like Foie Gras which I avoid and prefer is simply not on the menu but everything else was just amazing. Puts to Shame all the BS surrounding Michelin star restaurants here... More

I was at Le Coq D'or last year for a business meal and returned this year for dinner with some acquaintances. The restaurant sent a "London Taxi" to pick us up at our hotel. Quite stylish. The menu was what I would say is "tourist french" with the favorites, but nothing that could be considered innovative. That being said, what... More

We were in Chiang Mai for a short vacation and my husband reserved in advance a table for dinner at the restaurant to celebrate my birthday. The reservation was via email and we received confirmation promptly, which was helpful. The restaurant is located in a quiet neighbourhood, and is surrounded by a lovely garden. We called in advance to arrange... More
