The rolls that we ordered were amazing. I think they were the Caterpillar and Godzilla rolls, definitely would go back if I ever visit again. Service was good and between 3 of us it was only ~200 baht a person.

I've been here on a number of occasions, and every single time the quality of the food has been superb. I didn't like sushi before I tried the sushi here. It is definitely not traditional Japanese, so if that's what you're looking for you will be disappointed! The tastes are amazing, the presentation is beautiful and the service is good.... More

Staff cant stop looking at the customers while they are eating, it makes us feel so uncomfortable. besides, it doesnt make any senses for the sashimi to be in warm temperature. i think they seriously need ALOT improvement on that.

A stop into Sumo is well worth the time and money. Ton, the chef, is well versed in sushi and speaks Thai and English. He creates fantastic food that looks so good everyone gets out their cameras before eating! I really enjoyed the Heaven Roll and the new King Kong roll. My 8 year old also loved the Heaven and... This is not traditional Japanese food; it's Japanese food crossed for a Western palette. While you can get some traditional fare, the main focus here is putting a creative twist on typical Japanese food. Even though the place is small and the atmosphere is definitely lacking (narrow and cramped, sterile lighting, and too hot much of the time), the food... More

I eat a lot of sushi so I was delighted when a friend brought me to this tucked-away place. It's small, basic and more of a coffee shop design rather than a Japanese sushi place. The menu is confusing, but there are lots of photos and my friend helped guide me. The gyoza were good, not great; the seaweed salad... More

Was in the neighbourhood so stopped in. The small restaurant was almost full of a younger crowd of Thais and tourists but not a Japanese person in sight, not a good sign. After sitting down and getting menus the staff then ignored us for ten minutes while they cleaned empty tables. The folks beside us were playing cards, when we... More

This place was difficult to find, unless you are very familiar with the Nimmanhaemin area. It is between two sois on an adjoining alleyway. The decor is rather plain, but not unattractive. We were seated at a small table towards the back of the restaurant, and the waitress was kind enough to offer us a larger table near the front... More

I have my favourite Japanese places in CM but decided to give it a try after passing it many times. It always appeared a bit non traditional from the outside to be great. Anyhow, the decor was simplistic but functional. We had to sit at the sushi bar on stools as the small place was packed mainly with western tourists.... More
