We wanted to have a break from Thai food during our visit to Chiang Mai. We saw all the great reviews about Archers so we thought we would give it a try. The restaurant and food were fine but more expensive than I expected. Plus they did not accept visa. This surprised us given it was marketed as an English... More

Thanks for the review and I'm sorry you felt we were only average. I do want to state that we are the same price or cheaper than other restaurants you have reviewed favourably and yet you say we are expensive. Did you order a European beer or cheese (which is clearly priced) because you may want to look at Thai... More

Happened to met the owner of this cute little place, and so I decided to go to lunch. The restaurant is located in the historic downtown area of Chiang Mai and as I said before is very cute and has a nice atmosphere. The food is good fresh and well prepared, the menu is complete and staff well-selected and the owner... Although I only visit once a year I make Archer's my local.Since my last visit they have started to open for breakfast and the menu has had a revamp. They have daily specials and it's worth a visit for the excellent Sunday roast. The staff are friendly and the owners happy to have a chat and help with any questions on... More

Had one dinner here. The quality of the food and the service was quite good actually, although not the best in town. I found the menu quite limited in choices. Not a bad choice if you want some asian food with a western twist.

Just arrived in Chiang Mai and stumbled into this place because we were hungry. Food was better than we hoped and the beers were cold. We will be back.

In need of some western food, preferably vege, this hit the spot. Good size vege burger with chips as well as falafel balls with a large pitta (more of a flatbread). Accompanied with mayo, sweet chilli sauce and a huge condement rack! Tasty, good value and polite service.

My third trip to Chiang Mai in the past three months, and after my Sunday walk I was in great need of a cold beer and I chanced on Archers. Full marks for the ice cold beer. I had a small snack, Cant comment on the food, but very pleasant, and an interesting owner. There was certainly a passing parade.

I went here two or three years ago and was deeply unimpressed, thus avoided it for a long time. Meeting friends there the other week, and having been back a few times since on our own, either Archers have got their act together or I've got less fussy; perhaps a bit of both. This is a typical shop house restaurant,... More
