The place I suggest when visiting friends want Mexican. I attended religiously for Sunday brunch when there was one on Nimmanhaemin. A bit of a hike now but I go to Miguels now when I'm craving something good, filling, and not THAI! Usually a "Dos Amigos" with chicken taco and a cheese enchilada. Always hits the spot. Not spicy enough... More

This place is a great example of how Trip Advisor rankings can be misleading. This place is ranked 152 out of 1300 restaurants in Chiang Mai Thailand as of August 2014. But other restaurants in this category not as highly ranked are better. Check out my review of the Salsa Kitchen and compare it with this one. Let’s start at... More

i took the El Rico mixed platter (soft taco, burrito and quesadilla) and added a hard shell taco. the burrito was OK but the rest was excellent. would definitely go again. Good value for money but more expensive than what you'd pay on average for food in CM.

I did not enjoy it, but then again I am not the biggest fan of Mexican food. The nacho-plate was good but the fajitas, taco and enchilada plate I ordered was not so good.

I have to admit coming from California I was pleasantly surprised that a decent Mexican food joint would exist here in Chiang Mai. It's not the best Mexican, but they have the taste, look, and presentation down. That said, every time I've eaten here it's always westerners dining which means it is good. Their El Rico dish was tasty and... More

Sorta tucked away at the corner of the old city, this place is not one to overlook! Especially if you love Mexican food, because these guys to do it up proper! Favorites include the hard shell tacos (ground beef), real cheddar cheese, fresh salsa, YUM! And one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had. Hands down! Be sure to... More

I don't think that the people who have left these reviews have had quality Mexican food. This just isn't it. Unfortunately, the quality of the ingredients didn't seem fresh either. Nearly positive we were served yesterdays food. Maybe Mexican food isn't a good idea in Thailand. Prob not. But, tried it anyway.

The chicken tortilla soup was tasty but cold. The cheese enchiladas were okay, but they needed more time in the oven as well. For the price I paid, I was surprised I left hungry.

It's always nice how you know you're close to a Mexican restaurant because you can smell it! We actually pulled into the parking lot next door to look on my gps to see if we were close without realising we were right next door. Service was great. Food was pretty decent for Tex-Mex outside of Texas. Will definitely visit again... More

Excellent, Highly recommend. I've been living without good Mexican food for the last 5 months so it was refreshing for my girlfriend and I to find this in Chiang Mai, We ate here 5 meals in our stay 3 dinners and two breakfasts. They make their own tortias and every item off the menu we ordered was delicious! El Diablo... More
