The setting on the Ping River is spectacular (especially during the lantern festival in early November) and the staff is friendly. I thought the food would be mediocre, but I was sooo wrong. We ate several lunches and dinners there during our nine days in Chiang Mai, and were not disappointed. The chicken salad is delicious, as are many of... More

5/5 for atmosphere, possibly the best restaurant with the river view. music, lighting, food that matches the place, wonderful! 4/5 for food. Went there once in 2010, repeated on 2014. Both quality & quantity drastically changed. 3/5 for price. As expected, any top restaurant in tripadvisor will have comparatively higher price. Would have given 5 if the price was justified... More

The Thai food was very very good - standard favourites such as sweet and sour chicken and chicken red curry were both excellent - banana fritters were the best we have tasted (it's all about the light crispy batter) - the service however was efficient but unusually abrupt and non Thai like - no smiles and difficulty understanding (which is... Come for the river and the band. Avoid food is horrible and a bit overpriced. Worst burger in town. Smoking outdoor area is also not allowed

The Riverside was one of our favorite spots at the river during our visit to Chiang Mai for Loi Krathong. First we booked the rivercruise for a day shortly before the festival (reservation definitely necessary, use their website!). Staff was very nice welcoming us, the food on the cruise was one of the best we had while in CM (try... More

We went for dinner & sat outside at the back. It was busy & I thought the service was rushed & could have been better. The food was delicious though & portion size good too. I had the green chicken curry & my partner had a pork rib dish with the papaya salad. Just remember to ask them to hold... More

I arrived without a reservation (bad idea) but was very lucky to get a table with a river view. I intended just to have a beer but the atmosphere was such that I stayed and had some food - which was good.

Great food (Thai and European), great river views, great service (and live music later at night). Good prices. What more do you want? One of our top 3 eating places in Chiang Mai. Go and enjoy!!

This restaurant belongs together wit Good View to the oldest and most popular restaurants in Chiangmai. So is good to reserve the table before going special at holidays and week ends nights. Food and music are nothing special but the relaxing atmosphere with river views makes this place good choice for celebrating birthdays and another occasions. recommended

Have been there many times & have never had a bad experience. Food is always good as well as their service. It's a fun place & can get a bit noisy as it does attract the younger generations. Live music which adds to it's great atmosphere. For the new visitors to Chiang Mai, I'd suggest giving their 'River Cruise' a... More
