Decent but over-priced

Absolutely one of the better Japanese restaurants in Bangkok city, very good for lunch but make a reservation because it's very popular due to its location near Asoke. It's expensive, but really good imported Japanese food is and it's very easy to see and taste the difference from the run of the mill restaurants around Bangkok. If you are entertaining... More

Having lived here a few years now I have eaten at pretty much all the Japanese places in Bangkok, and there are many. Ten Sui is my favorite to-go place. Why? Well, where else can you sit by a window overlooking a little Zen garden and be treated to true Japanese hospitality by an owner who is the soul of... More

Lived in Bkk a long time but first time to tensui. 3 people...2 bottles of sake at 7000baht..and total bill 17000b. For that price one of us could have flown to Tokyo and eaten better Japanese food. Granted..eating fresh sashimi from Japan is expensive in Thai becse it is generally flown in fresh...but we didnt order any toro, uni, or... More

I have been to this restaurant about 6 times, and have always enjoyed it. However, I do find the pricing of this restaurant somewhat unreasonable. On this last visit I was charged $35.00 for one piece of sushi at the end of a meal. This is simply not reasonable. Having just arrived in Bangkok from Tokyo I think this is... More

My wife and I dropped by Ten Sui together with a relative - and we had a feast! The first thing that struck us was as if we were transported back in time in Japan. Ten Sui offers a very wide selection of sushi, sashimi and also sake! We had one heck of a meal, primarily consisting of sashimi and... More

Simply put, Ten Sui is the finest Japanese restaurant that I've had the pleasure of visiting in Bangkok. Some of the highlights from my last 2 visits would include the best Suki Yaki I've ever had (the broth had a smoky flavor I've never experienced anywhere else), the Grilled Black Cod in Teriyaki sauce, the amazingly fresh Akami Sashimi and... Not cheap, but worth every cent. We are Japanese food maniac, everything ... sushi of all kinds, fried menu, grilled, salad, dessert, etc.. Ten Sui met our expectation. There're huge varieties of sushi, ranges from basic yellow tail to halibut fin, roe, or fine matsuzaka. Everything was so fresh. The ikura dake (salmon roe) was as clear as fish eyes... More
