AUTHENTIC FRENCH CUISINEOpened since August 2006 and recently relocated in the lobby of the distinguished Athénée Tower, amidst the vibrant, easily accessible neighbourhood of Ploenchit and Wireless, Le Beaulieu is the culmination of acclaimed chef Hervé Frerard’s culinary expertise. Le Beaulieu is a fine French restaurant serving convivial, made-to-be-shared and delicious food in a casual, yet cozy, setting. From premium Fines de Claire oysters to the humble bouillabaisse, roasted Bresse chicken, homemade pâtés or côte de boeuf, chef Hervé meticulously brings out the detail and simplicity of his food by highlighting the quality produce sourced from France, Europe, Thailand and around the world. The desserts provide an appropriate denouement to a lovely meal including: last-minute cooked soufflé, slow-cooked nectarines, crème brûlée and baked apple tarte. Every dish has been refined to bring out the rich flavors and textures of the fine ingredients used.

The restaurant appears to be very well regarded in the number of reviews and rankings. We decided to give it a try. Service was generally good, although the door to the rest room which also led to the building's lobby was often left opened and loud noises from the event in the lobby was not too pleasant. The foie gras... More

The food is good and not too pricey for a great French restaurant in Bangkok. The service is good as well. Just the location in the lobby of a hotel/office building is not exceptional, but I went there for a lunch business, so it was nice but I'm not sure for the diner. Anyway I recommend you give a shot... More

We visited this for dinner on Friday 27 february. First of all very unlike Asia at all the service was lazy and absent. Secondly the food choice for a french restaurant was rather small. My wife had a simpel rocket salad with Pamasan cheese. I had white asparges which were probably picked from a can in the kitchen - small,... More

We arrived at 7 and were rushed out the door within 40 mins. Ordered the bloc of foie gras, which was great but no brioche or toast, just a big bloc...we asked the waiter and they brought some super market toast over, much to the frustration of the little french chef. You'd think he'd know better! The fillet steak was... More

As I was contemplating the plate served to me, I could not but think of a line I recently read about a survivor of the Auschwitz extermination camp explaining how they were fed a single slice of sausage per day before going to work. The dish I had before my eyes was not that meager but certainly was not meant... More

Making the move, both in the mental and physical (from Sukumvit Road 19 to Wireless Road) sense, Chef Herve offered us the opportunity to enjoy lunch at Le Beaulieu (more often ). Indeed, lunch at Le Beaulieu is simple luxury for the palate and "very friendly" for our wallet. The Business lunch set at about 700 baht for three courses... More
