Our first night in Bangkok

We stumbled on this place after going for a walk in the park and getting a little lost. We had an earlier dinner for us about 6, but by the time we left it was really busy. Now to the problem with Thailand - this restaurant was expensive by Thai standards (not to UK or our hotel prices), but... read more

This is fine dining - Thai style. Baan Khanitha & Gallery is one of 4 restaurants in the Baan Khanitha group, situated in what is described as a stately home in South Sathorn Road. It is easy to find and has parking if you need it. The venue is stylish and houses many fine artworks. We enjoyed eating in the... More

Food here is Thai style but a bit fusion with other styles. The decoration is very nice and feel a lot space. Nice atmosphere.

sit outside if not too hot or raining.. Lovely location on the water front of this very large night market. A great spot to eat and watch all the locals and tourists mingle. Server helpful in "translating " the various food options for us. A bit pricy but tasty food. About a 15 minute walk from Chantrium Hotel. Safe walking... More

I went here as a party of four. we ordered plenty. A nice touch was the 'amuse bouche' of a leaf that you roll and place some nuts, herbs and a spicy sauce into. We had lots to eat but as I didn't order I can't remember specifics. There was plenty though. Girls had G&T's boys had three Singha's each.... More

At my friend's recommendation, My wife and I had an amazing dinner here last night. While the prices are more in line with USA, you get what you pay for. Service was prompt and attentive and waiters spoke good english and helped with our appetizer selection. The wrapped chicken appetizer was amazing!! We both had lobster curry (which comes in... Good food, good service, outstanding position on the river. We were also privy to an excellent firework display by a private customer.

We ate here during our visit to Bangkok. It was a 15 minute walk from our hotel (Anantara Sathorn). We had a complimentary dish of meang kam - leaves filled with different bits ie peanuts; dipping sauce and was delicious. We also had a Gaeng Massaman Gai (chicken) and Khung Lai Sua Phad Song Kruang (huge Prawns) and a pad... More

I took my partner there for a special night out. The food was good and the drinks also. It was a very nice atmosphere. The service was ok not too attentive though. It is very pricey, but for a special night it is worth it.

After two dinners at another restaurant, that chef recommended the Baan Khanitha to our group of 6. The setting was lovely and the preparations, especially of the appetizers, were somewhat unusual. Though significantly pricier than the other restaurant Baan Khanitha offered a pleasant surrounding, great service and fine food.
