I visited this place again after 3 years and it was just as great as i remembered it to be. You take a small boat from the mandarin main hotel and go across the river. The restaurant is superb in all respects topped woth great and efficient service! I was with some vegetarians and i would say that they should... More

Our last meal in Thailand was definitely our best. The food was amazing from start to finish and you get very generous portions. I had the spring rolls to start and was given about 15 which was far too much. Although they were very tasty in hindsight we would have shared starters. I ordered sticky rice with my Massaman curry... More

Weekend in Bangkok This trip to Bangkok was somewhat special as we were meeting our friends from Bali who were celebrating their wedding anniversary. We decided to celebrate in style and so booked a table for four at the Mandarin Oriental Bangkok, Sala Rim Naam Restaurant, which is situated on the river. The bookings were arranged by email through Rachanee... More

I am no expert in Thai food but I loved this dinner. Beautiful restaurant overlooking the CHAO phyra river we had a delightful evening. The staff was knowledgable and attentive. The kitchen was accommodating to our special needs. But most if all the food was absolutely delicious. The perfect blend of spicy and sweet that I imagine good Thai food... More

To get to the actual restaurant you have to take a short boat ride just across the river which adds a nice touch to the overall experience. We were greeted by friendly and polite staff at the restaurant and we wasted no time in exploring what was on offer! The buffet spread offers a wide selection of Thai foods and... More

This is the place to knock the socks off your partner. I brought my husband here for his birthday. After a hot and CO2 filled ride on a tuk tuk to the mandarin oriental, all the stickiness is washed away when you enter the lobby and pass through the leafy verandahs to the little jetty where a wooden boat will... Sala Rim Naam is a wonderful restaurant on the Riverside , across the Mandarin Oriental. Perfect setting , very good service. A bit overpriced (part of the Mandarin ...) , but if you choose a set menu , then you really get value for money. One of the best Thai restaurants I have ever visited.

We had terrific buffet lunch at Sala Rim Naam. The spread was elegant and creative. There was a variety of different dishes, appetizers, hot foods, soup, salads and things I have not seen before. Their desert table was colorful and beautiful. Wonderful selection and perfect way to taste the flavors of Bangkok some may be too spicy, but there is... More

My husband and I had a great experience here. Beautiful scenery, friendly staff and lots if Thai culture. The hotel boat picked us up from the Hilton where we had been to the 360 bar for drinks, it took us directly to the restaurant with no charge. Gracious movement of all dancers, a great a la carte menu in case anyone finds the set a bit usual. quite a romantic setting by the chao phraya river, however, its service level was rather passive though pleasant enough. In contrast to the noisy disco cruises we noted from time to time, we loved this dining venue.
