upmarket and expensive

We were told that the Blue Elephant is also a cookery school and that the food is fantastic.Naturally we had to give it a go. The setting is in an old colonial building and is on 3 floors. Dark wood floorboards, ornate plasterwork and most attractive. On phoning to book I was told there is a dress... read more

Our hotel next door recommended this place. They were happy to accomodate us without reservations despite being extremely busy.. Food is gorgeous! And so is the service and ambience. Got nothing negative about this please.. A must try.

The meal we had tonight at Blue Elephant was, literally, one of the best meals I have ever had, and certainly the best Thai meal I have ever had. The entire experience from start to finish was first class and perfectly executed. The host and servers were exceptionally friendly and were always there when you needed them without being intrusive.... More

Stayed a the Tower Club @ Lebua. The Concierge advised us to visit Blue Elephant which is fairly close. This was very sound advice. We had a wonderful evening. Booking the table was a painless process, they sounded professional but didn't posture unnecessarily. The restaurant itself is Quaint and really warm and comfortable. Now the 2 most important things ...... More

This place is easily accessible since it is opposite the train station-it is not advisable to take a taxi because traffic is really bad around dinner time. The exterior is beautiful but the food is only average and expensive. Dining experience is only average.

This is a beautiful restaurant and very different to the very modern style that a lot of Bangkok restaurants seem to have adopted these days. The food was on the whole disappointingly very 'tourist' friendly though - I would have preferred some more 'local'-style Thai!

My husband and I participated in a small group lunch at Blue Elephant in mid-February 2015 (we had picked it out independently for dinner based on Trip Advisor reviews, then we discovered it was on our itinerary for lunch). The food and the service were great, even though we were there during Chinese New Year. We will definitely go back... More
