Blue elephant is indeed a strange but very nice place - but while it nominates itself as a thai restaurant I would say thai nouvelle cuisine - the owner is a Belgian thai couple and they have several restaurants around the world - I have had the pleasure of dining in both London and Copenhagen. The food is very good... More

We've been hearing so much abt the blue elephant so I insisted we go there for dinner.we reserved a table that morning.the ambience was lovely and so was the lil shop they have as soon as you enter. However we were disappointed in the service which was extremely slow.the food was average.I expected more after all the hype.the starters were... More

One of the best in Thailand. Yes, it's pricey but the ambiance, service and quality of food made it worth every penny. Their entree and dessert menu was definitely mind blowing. Amazing!

One couldn't ask for a better setting to this renowned restaurant but it didn't live up to expectations. Despite a booking we were kept waiting for 20 minutes before being seated - no complimentary drink offered. We had to hover i n the reception area. Service was haphazard (waiter didn't know how to open the screw top wine bottle). Food... More

We eat here on the recommendation of a friend. The restaurant is in a wonderful colonial style building with wooden shutters, palm plants and wooden ceiling fans. The food was delicious with strong Thai influences without being pure Thai. The little extras like the amouse bouche and complimentary cocktail after the meal really added to the experience. The service was... More

It was our first night in Bangkok and we decided that was we were so tired we would pop next door to the Blue Elephant. The food was delicious and the staff were extremely polite and accommodating. It was our most expensive meal - roughly £60 (3000 Baht) of our whole holiday but was a lovely way to begin our... More

Bangkok is not short of excellent Restaurants and the Blue Elephant certainly falls into this category. Located in an colonial building - conveniently close to the Sky Train - it's not difficult to get to but not the place to turn up at without a reservation. On arrival, either have a drink in the lovely first floor bar or go... More
