Good food, great view

This restaurant is a great place to sit and watch the pace of the Chao Phraya river with all its various ferries, cruisers and long tail river boats. Across the river is Wat Arun, and even with all the scaffolding from its on-going refurbishment, it is a magnificent view. I ate several meals... read more

The food here is not good. The worst pad Thai I have ever had. Most of the food has too much sugar. It is rated highly but I would not eat here. The only good thing is the most divine view of the river and Wat Arun across the river. Lovely spot for a coffee Eat elsewhere

Arrived and was seated at a table that was filthy. The table cloth looked as though it had not been changed for days. Overall the condition and appearance of the restaurant was not good. The menu was small, there was only one vegetarian option and the quality of food was poor. I was served a plate of vegetables dripping in... More

Love this place. Food was very tasty and high quality. We were also very plesently surprised by the yummy desert. The pomelo salad with shrimp is delicious. The waiters are friendly enough. There is a bar upstairs if you only want to have a drink. Arrive at 5pm and enjoy the sunset and a breathtaking Wat Arun.

A gem of a place to stay or for lunch/ dinner or just the sundown cocktails while taking in the view of the Temple of Dawn directly opposite without hinderance of your view from other buildings or anchored boats on the pier. The scaffoldings are taken off to celebrate the new year's eve event before they are reinstalled again for... More

The restaurant's location looks very charming and you can see the river and beautiful temple Wat Arun. The food we had was not special but I had only Thai food and the chicken satay was little disappointed comparing to price plus 10% service charge and 7% VAT -Restaurant seems to be suit foreigners than thai people (price are high comparing... Usually, I resist Thai food that is not street food and made for foreigners. But Thai food here is very delicious. My wife reserved a table at the restaurant located right under Arun, but owned by the same owner. They were so unorganized and busy. So we walked up the stairs and found a restaurant with a better view, and... More

My husband and I came to eat without any reservation, as we saw so many empty tables but was told they were all reserved. Therefore we decided to have a drink upstairs only to discover so many empty tables and we were finally able to sit and order our drinks and food. Its by the river, in front of the... More

Book a suite room and you will understand the beauty and romance of this place. Just on the the river bank and right infront of vat arun, the view is really mesmerizing.

I like this place very much due to the good food and nice view. Just a bit unlucky that Wat Arun is under renovation which have no night light view! Another thing I feel uncomfortable which is the mosquitos... Overall good for me and will come again~~!

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
