180 Baht for a small order of duck. 140 Baht for a plate of morning glory!!! 120 Baht for a plate of chicken noodles. The food wasn't even very good. It is unbelievable that this hole in the wall restaurant can charge these prices. This might be a case of dual pricing because I would be very surprised if a... More

a MUST visit for those who visit, or live in, Bangkok. don't expect a fancy restaurant or uniformed waiters or even air conditioning. however, the food is outstanding. visit before the place gets knocked down and becomes yet another mall or hotel that you see on sukhumvit.

Love the great couple that come to work every day... well into their late '80's... known best for their BBQ Duck... I have eaten here since the mid 1970's and it is a Sukhumvit staple... good Thai food near the BTS and great food... I NEVER miss eating here when I go to Bangkok... the Crab Fried Rice is excellent... More

If you love Asian food that is authentic with varied delicious flavors then you will love Yong Lee. It's my eight year eating their great food.

Saw the review in eatthaifood.com and always wanted to give it a try. It was not disappointing at all. Order the ox tongue and the deep fry chewy fish. Taste excellent. Too bad that there is no air con. So my wife will not come to this shop with me.

I remember this place back the 80's when I worked here, have been back a few times when I get down Sukhumvit and it's still good after all these years. Yong Lee has been in the same place for 103 years! My wife commented on the dirt and grimes on the walls from cooking, street dirt and soot. I told... More

Looks a bit dodgy but the food was great. I had a prawn dish which was tasty and fresh, beer was cold and reasonable. About 400 Bart for two inc two large Singha so pretty reasonable. Pleasantly surprised by the food which is the main thing as long as you can get over the furniture and grubbiness of it! Go... More

Been going here for 30 years. The old man was shuffling around then and his wife worked in the front. My favourite place in Bangkok. All the other reviews are fairly accurate. But they calculate the bill on the number of empty plates on your table (and they will be empty) and the number of empty drinks bottles. Still cheap... More

The menu has no prices and charges might be unusually high. The owner looks at you and decide how much you should pay. Prices are much higher than in Chinatown restaurant with air-con.

We were tempted in here after a long walk up Sukhumvit, and on spying the roast duck spit roasting out the front. It's run by an elderly couple, who have obviously been here for years! Don't expect chat, cleanliness, amazing service. So expect quick, tasty, cheap Chinese food! Have low expectations and leave happy with a full belly!
