We travelled to Bangkok in May for a friend’s wedding and I was given the task of organising the bachelorette party. Through much research I stumbled across The Deck at Arun Residence, and after several queries were met with quick and helpful responses from a lovely lady called Ploy Ploy, I decided to choose that as our venue, and I... I like to go to this place to enjoy a very beautiful view of Bangkok. The temple of dawn is right in front of you, across the main river. You can enjoy sunset there too. The service was poor sometimes maybe due to many customers. If you want to eat, you should reserve the table in advance. But if you... More

I think for where the restaurant is situated, this place has a very high potential. It's located down a small alleyway with a nice local touch...the view of Wat Arun is stunning seeing how close you are to it. I love the isolation and quiet atmosphere by the river. I really want to give this place 5 stars because they... More

We had such a good dinner in front of wat arun. I would reccomend to book a table with good views before you go. Waiters are so kind and the food was great. Try the banana dessert!

BEFORE SUNSET - Arrive by river taxi, walk past Wat Po - enter a small alley back down to the River and either go up to the bar or to your ( pre booked) table. The Thai food is good/unpretentious - but you are there for the river side ambience - and the fabulous view of the Temple of the... More

The Iced Thai Coffee is amazing.... I had one cup and wanted another one... but was told it was sold out.... unbelievable!! The food was great. I had a craving but local Thai food that was not on the menu, but the Chef was happy to cook for me. Awesome!

The view here was really nice but the service was really bad. We had to wait for a table which was fine, we went upstairs for a drink. But when we ordered, the food came before our drinks and we had to ask to have them. Even after that they were unsure how many dishes we had ordered. The food... More

Wat Arun is my favorite temple in Bangkok, so I was psyched to have sunset drinks and dinner here for the first time. It is simply stunning to see the temple from this side of the Chao Phraya river, so be sure to arrive at The Deck before sunset. Food and cocktails are a bit on the pricey side, but... More

The deck offers a great view of the river and of Wat Arun. The food is high quality and I like that they serve both Thai and foreign food options.

We had dinner at The Deck for the first time with our friends who were visiting from out of town. It had been recommended by some Thai friends and we had always wanted to try it. When I called to reserve a table I asked specifically for a table on the second floor with a view (as was recommended by... More
