All the reviews I read said this was a "4" if not a "5" - not!! Yes, the dusk view from the fourth floor funky rooftop bar was great of Wat Arun across the Chao Praya River. The drink selection was very good, but the food was average. I think prior reviews were written by those seeking some familiar food... More

Hubs had a really good seafood risotto- for only 390baht! My spicy seafood salad was ok, not fabulous. We were sitting next to a big table of thai locals, but it looks mostly like a tourist spot. Would be lovely at night, as wat arun is just across the water. Brisk 10 minute walk from grand palace, not the easiest... More

I disagree with previous reviewers that this place is all about the view. We had a really excellent dinner there and both Thai and western food were extremely good. I was impressed by the correctly priced wine list and we chose a superb Californian Cabernet Sauvignon. The staff are charming and helpful and the service was generally good though the... More

We had dinner here after a busy day sight seeing on the recommendation of our hotel staff. The service was a little slow and the menu seemed to be a bit confused between local Thai dishes and western offerings. But the view of Wat Arun at sunset over the river can't be beat and the food was adequate if a... More

This restaurant is tucked away at the end of an alley way not far from pier 8 on the river and is straight across the water from Wat Arun. The view, especially from the top floor bar is wonderful but it comes at a price as the foods and drinks are on the high side for Bangkok and there is... More

The wifi didn't work and I had to wait for almost an hour to get my order delivered to my table. They kept apologizing and offered 10%off. However, the food was excellent. And the view is priceless. Why? Why was the service so poor? I ordered set menu and my main course came before my soup and salad. Pity

For independent travellers like us, surviving on casual street food, this was a bit of a fancy stop. We were happy with the big portions and quality food, but if you're a demanding diner the service might not live up to expectations. Not that it would put is off recommending a meal here. Because dining on the riverside across from... More

My recent trip to Bangkok, a Thai couple took me to a restaurant in the heart of the old fish market near Wat Pho and the Grand Palace. I am quite familiar with Bangkok, but to get to this place at night was not an easy task. The best thing to do is to go with your guests. The place... More
