Great Thai food at reasonable (for being in a 5 star hotel) prices. Views are incredible, and the food and service comparable. An absolute winning choice

By the riverside at the Peninsula they have a semi outdoor/semi indoor restaurant specialising in Thai food. The riverside tables for 2 are superb (as long as it does not rain). Portion size is generous more than you would get in the UK in a similar establishment. One main will easily feed 2 of you. Its not the cheapest place... More

Table booked wasn't given to us. Staff reaching over each of us to serve food and drinks, which given the prices for drinks and food should not be happening, menu quite short

We ate here one evening whilst staying at the Peninsula. We didn't have a reservation but the restaurant actually looked only half full so we managed to get a table right next to the river. Any closer and we would have been swimming! It's quite atmospheric as they have got the lighting just right and it makes for a nice... More

We were tried after arriving on an overnight flight so didnt want to travel far. We decided to visit Thiptara at the Peninsula where we were staying. The service was ok and the food was quite good although a little spicy. Overall the food was quite nice.

The atmosphere is great. Food is thai and was nice to have on our first night in. They know how to make a great gin and tonic.

We were seated right by the river. The setting is a wonderful garden. They had a woman playing Thai music on an instrument similar to a harpsichord in full regalia. The wine selection was very good and we found the food to be of high quality in nice proportions. The soups were particularly good. The only draw back was the... More

The best thing about Thiptara is the service, it's just gorgeous, warm, friendly and attentive. We went twice because we liked this place so much and the people working there. The food is really good and fresh! Try the morning glory with the shrimps, it's really delicious. We tried a lot different things and we're really happy about the recommendations... More

The ambiance is excellent for couple however, it's good for family too. Service is excellent and food is extremely good though it's a bit pricey. Worth paying!
