Good food, nice position next to the river

This restaurant is part of the Peninsula and is very well-positioned next to the Chaophraya river. The service was a little slow at times but was warm and friendly. The food is good and is largely the usual Thai fare. The Yellow Curry with Sea bass was the highlight.

Beautiful Thai houses brought together to take advantage of the view and the cool breeze of the river. Expert staff and delicious thai classics.

This hotel room is very odd layout. I check in to suite room and find that the room layout is not mend for hotel usage !! Suddenly from the bedroom out to a TV where the sofa could not view it ? We love Thai food and the Thiptara is our first port of call whenever we come back to Bangkok. Although not cheap by local standards the beautiful setting on the banks of the Chao Phrya and quality of the food make it very special (for me nothing beats crispy morning glory, white river prawns and spicy sauce!). Staff are great... More

We spent our Valentine's diner at the Thiptaraa. A beautiful restaurant. There a young lady playing a local typical musical instrument, very relaxing. Unfortunately even loving thai food we were not lucky at the food selection as we ordered a dish with a tamarind sauce that was very strong and not exactly delicious. But even considering that I will certainly... More

Located at the border of the Chao Phraya river this restaurant offers an great choice of Thai food, while having a splendid view on the river and its traffic. They offer also a large selection of good wines.

Great location right by the river in an authentic environment. We had great food and very friendly chatty staff that were very attentive. Definitely would recommend.

We loved Thiptara. It was our favorite restaurant at the Peninsula. The Thai food was excellent and sitting outside, at night, was beautiful and relaxing. Highly recommended for those not staying at the Peninsula as well.

We had many meals here because we lived next door at the Baan Sathorn Chaophraya. Food is thai, the house itself is really beautiful, authentic. All thai dishes are very good, don't forget to ask for a moderate spicy dish if you cannot eat pure thai food.
