My family's favourite restaurant

Every time I came back to Thailand , this is the place where all the family get together for a meal. Normally we'll have a private room and a set meal, the food always delicious , good service, a bit pricey but worth it. Menu is big, they are more Chinese kitchen than Thai. There's so many branches... read more

We went to He Ngor for dinner. The food was excellent. I had ordered for a chicken dish and bean sprouts and tofu. The dishes were outstanding.

I live around the corner from this restaurant and decided to try a take away from there early one evening. I have often wondered why this restaurant has such a big car park yet always seems to be empty. Now I know. The interior of the restaurant is dimly lit and cloistered. I stood at the reception desk for several... More

JeNgor used to be my must go restaurant in Bangkok. I visit Bangkok at least once a year and no matter how, I will go to JeNgor for the delicious black pepper crab and fried rice. My recent visits were terrible. The food quality has been significant dropped. Not just on 1 but every restaurants were same. The food was... More

The pad thai and fried rice is just average. Tom yum kung (200 baht for small portion, about 3-4 bowls with 5 or 6 prawns, enough to share for 2-3 people)is yummy and the chinese style deep fried fish ( big enough to be shared with 3-4 people ,only 500 baht)is crispy. The dishes I like the most is the... More

Je Ngor kitchen is one of the famous restaurant in Bangkok, their pepper crab was huge and well cracked. The taste is fantastic and less heavy as the absence of a sauce.

Four of us went to dinner to celebrate a birthday. We arrived at 6pm. At 9pm, 2 had received food and 2 were still waiting. One of the dishes was fried rice with prawns. It had 4 prawns and cost 250 baht! The food costs were probably 15 baht! The food was terrible, the service was disgusting. It was as... More

I came here after reading the good reviews and expect a great feast. I ordered: - Black pepper crab (the sauce is okay but the price is quite high for the portion provided, no equipments provided for eating the crab until we asked at the very end) - Pad thai (below standard: wet, noodles were too soft and mushy, blend... I visited this restaurant on the recommendation of locals, with whom it is a favorite. This is very authentic Chinese food - perhaps a bit too authentic for some American tastes. Service was good. We ate in a small private dining room, where the atmosphere was austere. Plenty of free convenient parking.
