This once wonderful restaurant is out of business. There is a go-go bar there now. Closed 2013. I used to love to go there and have the chips late night. Not expensive and the owner really cared about the food. I am sad to say it is no longer in business... or even there.!

I've called in here a couple of times and always had great service. The last time I was in here, I left my wallet on the table. Before I could get out of the door one of the waitresses who was adjacent to my table had caught me up with my wallet in her hand. What can I say except... More

To confirm and clarify the sad closure of this super little pub. According to Barry the ex-proprietor, the building was sold under them and the new landlords increased the rent to a level that made it impossible to continue profitably. It will be missed even though there is more than enough to entertain in the vicinity. Cheers and thanks to... More

Sadly, this Soi 23 institution has been forced to close for reasons that are unclear at time of writing, but probably related to transfers of subtenant leases. Who knows? This was a great little pub for those in the know, with homestyle cooking at affordable prices, friendly staff, and a quiet, cozy atmosphere. A proper ‘local’. Another sad day for... More

Honestly I can not even count the number of times I have eaten here! Everytime I return to Bangkok this place is the first that pops into my mind when I get hungry. The pub is traditional, cozy and inviting. It's been built and designed so well that it looks like everything was brought over from the UK! They have... More

Arrived here out of desperation because other restos in the area were already closed for the night. Shockingly, the best panaeng curry we had in two weeks was found at this "British" pub! Both meals we had were super spicy and very tasty. Don't hesitate to order the local dishes here. But don't expect attentive service. Servers might take some... More

The Ship Inn is a small restaurant on Soi 23, around the corner from the infamous Soi Cowboy. The food is simple, but good. I recommend the soups. The ham and pea is very nice. Beef stew is lovely, and the sandwiches, while not inspired, are safe and good to pair with a bowl of soup. A soup and sandwich... More

Very weird thing to be writing about schnitzel in a restaurant located in Bangkok. So in the spirit of transparency I note I was taken to the Ship Inn by a friend who knows one of the owners. That out of the way. It is a funny little place, very cozy although a little dark, with a great high areas... More

The ship inn is a very nice place to have a quiet meal, it is only small but the food is very tasty and quite resonably priced, the service is very good. I like it also because it is very cosy and usually not too busy, so you do not have to wait long for your meal, they do have... More
