Good Chinese Food and Service

Living in Hong Kong and Asia for 14 years we are well positioned to compare Mei Jiang to the best of the Chinese restaurants in Hong Kong. The cuisine is really a mix of both Southern and Northern (Sichuan) dishes so it's not possible to tie it down to a particular type of Chinese food as you see... read more

This is up market Chinese food. We had a selection of dim sum for three people. Great service and excellent food. Good value for money for a five star hotel.

This is not my first time visiting Mei-Jiang, but least to say this is by far my worse experience. Perhaps there was a change of staff / chef than 2 years ago. We visited during Chinese New Year for a family dinner, but experience some difficulties. It was quite interesting that we could not get a table during our phone... More

Dim sum at Peninsula's Mei Jiang is not quite like having dim sum in typical Chinese restaurants. Ambience, food quality and presentation, service and unhurried dining provided me and my wife with an enjoyable lunch. Restaurant wasn't full and customers were able to enjoy their meals in quiet conversations in between the occasional clatter of china and silver ware. Our... More

My partner and I were too tired to go out on our first night at the Peninsula, so we ate at their Chinese restaurant, Mei Jiang. The service was very willing and friendly, but inefficient: it took over 2 hours to get served a limited number of courses in a half-empty restaurant. The food was all right, but nowhere near... The dumplings are very good but only available for lunchWithout a doubt, the best " Beijing Duck" in town! Don't forget to order this in advance!

One of the best places for Dim Sum in Bangkok. We also had a Peking Duck, quite good although alittle bit dry.

I always stay here at the peninsula hotel when in Bangkok. The staff makes me something new every time I dine here. Outstanding service and food all the time.

Where did all the fanfare of the HK Peninsula Hotel go? It is lost in Bangkok. I've stayed at the Peninsula many years ago, wasn't impressed then and wondered about what was lacking. Yesterday, I decided to try their Chinese Restaurant Mei Jiang for Dim Sum. First let me say the service is below average, regardless, I was told rudely... More
