Very nice without being outstanding

A nice functional room. Good service but a bit short on atmosphere. Food very good but without the wow factor.

Very well prepared and presented dinner. Delicious! I had the "Happy" fixed meal combination and my companion had the "Healthy" dinner. Both were outstanding!

My wife and I travel a lot and are also both addicted to good food. During our last stay in Bangkok we tried Nahm, ate at the Thai restaurant of the Mandarin and last but not least spent two evenings eating at Mei Jiang. Chinese food in Bangkok? Crazy one might think. But it’s not because the cooking of Chef... More

Can't believe that we've lived in Bangkok almost 2 years but never visited Mei Jiang. My wife and I had the set lunch, which we both thought was superb. My wife is Malaysian Chinese so is a conisseure of Chinese food, especially Cantonese. My 5 year daughter had the Shanghai dumplings, char siu puffs and the mango pudding, and also... More

Despite living in Hong Kong we always will have at least Chinese meal whilst on vacation. Mei Jiang is first rate! Be warned the portions are on the large size so larger groups are better! We had prawns in port wine, delicious dish! the chicken fillet in orange was also first rate as was the succulent beef. It's not cheap... More

I enjoyed the fixed price lunch, a six course bargain at $30, well under half what it would cost if available in the west. The server recommended the lunch to me, but with the warning that it was a lot of food but permits me to try a variety of the chef's specialties at a low price. Included were a... More

After hearing rave reviews of Mei Jiang, we were completely disappointed in the quality of the food. The range of offerings were impressive and the service was attentive but the presentation of the food, the taste and the texture were so poor.

1st time eating dim sums in my life. My friend and I chose Mei Jiang after reading the reviews online. Not excellent but good food. The dim sums and other food we ordered good. Didn't taste much of abalone in the abalone fried rice. The wine by glass serving is little compared to most dining venues I have patronised of... More

Great Chinese restaurant within the Peninsula Bangkok. Service is outstanding. Since we usually order Peking Duck here I can not comment on other the other menu items, but the duck is awesome. No grease and very crispy skin. Great restaurant for special occasions. Highly recommend!

Went to the Peninsula Hotel for Dim Sum on Sunday lunch and liked the experience of taking the hotel's free ferry shuttle from the BTS Station. We didn't have a booking however the staff were kind enough to find us a table . The service was excellent at first but as the place filled up I didn't feel they had... More
