Tried the eggs benedict here which was just ok. However, I found the chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream to be absolutely delicious. I also tried a simple orange juice and discovered it was diluted with pineapple juice which made it taste weird and unsatisfying. However, the real disappointment came with the rude service which took several forms. First... More

I recently moved to Bangkok and walk past this coffee shop everyday but never have time stop. It looks really good and reasonably busy. It looked a good choice to have a coffee and breakfast on a Saturday morning so I gave CHU a try. I was sorely disappointed, the waitress took my order for a coffee and full English... More

The 70% cacao hot chocolate was perfect. Not too sweet, but very rich in flavor. It thickens as it cools down. I couldn't finish it because the chicken pesto panini filled me up. The panini should be a bit less oily. My partner had the Nutella and banana french toast and I thought it was too heavy for a brioche.

Cafes in Bangkok do not open early, but Chu Chocolate Bar does. It's convenient for those travelers who are used to get up early. It's inside the Exchange Tower. The cafe is very clean and spacious. Service is nice. The food is very delicious. Must try the hot chocolate. Thick and tasty. The cafe uses real chocolate instead of chocolate... More

Much that's on the menu here is pretty good, but every time I go, I have this unshakeable feeling that I'm being ripped off. For example, if you order pasta, they give you no bread, and, if you want bread, they charge you 50 baht for a thin slice of sourdough. When you order pancakes, they give you an itty-bitty... More

This restaurant was walking distance from our hotel and was recommended by a local friend. We ate twice there- breakfast and lunch. Both were great! We had breakfast biscuit, granola and their hot chocolates - all delicious. I think everything is baked fresh on site and the Western food here is really quite true to form, hence its large Westerner... More

I have had the opportunity to visit the CHU on many visits to Bangkok, and they are well known for their specialty chocolate drinks including expresso/chocolate beverages. In my opinion they are the best in Bangkok at this part of the business. My last visit was the culmination of about 6 visits over the last year and the last three... More

A friend and I had breakfast here on a Monday morning. The staff was friendly. There were plenty of places to sit and read the paper or chat as we waited for our meal. We sat at a cozy little table by the window. The service was quick, but a few things got lots in translation, like the side of... More
