After having a mediocre lunch with friends there, the bill came to just over 3500 THB, we left a 300 THB tip, and as we were ready to depart I tipped over one of their water glasses which then broke. I apologised and thought nothing more of it, until the manager approached us as we were leaving with a price-list... More

As we were in the area of Erawan, decided to drop by Crystal Jade to have a quick lunch. As it was past 1.30PM the place was rather quiet with 4 tables already occupied. As we were the first to arrive, decided to order while waiting for others to follow. We were shown to our table a party for 6... More

Crystal Jade is a large chain of Chinese restaurants, present all over Asia and some parts of North America. They have traditional Cantonese restaurants and those that serve a kind of noodles and dumplings found in North China: la mian and xiao long bao. This branch is in the basement of the Erawan shopping complex, which is attached to the... More

I regularly visit crystal jade for its ramen. But have been disappointed too many times by their lack of consistency on hours of operation. The staff will tell you 9:30pm kitchen closes & restaurant closes 10pm the website says the same. In reality it's when the cook and staff want to go home! Numerous times this has happened arriving at... More

For dumpling fans visiting Bangkok, this should be a must-visit. The portions are large, but that didn't stop us from ordering several kinds of dumplings, each of which were good in their own right. On top of that, they weren't too expensive and it was easy to get a table for lunch. Definitely recommend!

I love dimsum, and my son loves noodles. What more could we ask for? It was all lovely apart from the white radish buns - only have them if you have had them before and like them! Pancakes great - minced pork and szechuan noodles...hot and enough in the bowl for 2! Great location, and obviously very popular with the... More

What you need to know is that the portions are large. I ordered soup, spring rolls, and shrimp with prawns, about what I'd get at home when eating alone. I literally had enough food for three people. The won ton soup had 8 won tons (not the 3 like back home), there were 3 spring rolls ( not 1), and... More

And rest in middle of BKK. Nice Chinese food... A break from Thai food. Location is excellent next to Grans Hyatt/Amarin and good food and value

Very authentic Chinese food. Great taste, but price is a bit expensive. Service is good. I ordered fried rice, xiao long bao (a must), Shanghai tofu with minced meat, shrimp wonton soup (my favorite) and friend shrimp with peppers. For drinks, I had iced Chinese tea. Most people who eat here are Chinese, Japanese and Asians in general. The taste... More

First time ever experiencing Goose Xiao Long Bao which is never found in my home country, Malaysia. The bao tasted delicious. Other than that, the overall service is very good. Liked the fact that the person serving my table smiled most of the time which is what I liked and found him to be very friendly.
