food was average .. quality of the ingredients was not upto the mark for a pricey place ... service however is good... this crust pizzas are served but lack that extra "punch" when it comes to the taste....

Hidden up Soi 33, right off the Phrom Phong BTS stop, amidst the usual Bangkok Bars is Basilico's. Great food at a reasonable price with good service. Regrettably I have lived here for almost 2 years and have walked by this restaurant almost daily before trying their food. I did that because I assumed that I would be disappointed again... More

I can't speak for the main courses, but the starters, salads, pizzas and pastas are fantastic. Generous portions and quality ingredients make this place outshine the other quality Italian restaurants in the area. The quattro formagi and baked spinach are delicious every time. I've worked through maybe half of the pizza menu and have been satisfied with each one. The... More

First, the positives. Basilico is a proper old-school Italian restaurant - check tablecloths, breadsticks in a basket, jars of chilli oil on the tables etc etc. The staff are really friendly and the service is quick & efficient. However, these positives are completely undermined by the food which, if my visit last night is any indicator, is TERRIBLE. Our ravioli... More

Went with friends. Ordered some salad and pizza. The price was fair. The food is good to what it charges. Causual place to go.

Recently I revisited after long time and the pizza was not good at all.Too much cheese on top and took really too long ,while the restaurant was empty .The service did try to make up for the mistakes but I will never go back.

We have eaten at Basilico a number of times while visiting Bangkok over the years and it remains a good Italian restaurant. On this past trip we visited twice. The staff are attentive, sometimes a bit to attentive – they do seem to always be watching you but not unusually for Thailand where most places have an abundance of staff... More

Excellent food, particularly the thin crust pizzas of which there is a wide variety. The environment is nice and the staff is friendly and efficient. The restaurant has also a reasonably priced good house wine as well as some interesting wine promotions. I have been there several times and always enjoyed it.

I just ordered a pizza and it was nice, crunchy, tasty but maybe too few toppings. But in general it's satisfactory I will be back sure.
