The restaurant is very nice. It is a house made of wood with bamboos everywhere. It is really nice to site on the terrace. Unfortunately since the lebua hotel recommends it to a lot of tourists, there are only tourists in the restaurant so we actually saw all the people of the hotel at this restaurant. The food is very... More

My husband & family have been coming here for years - i have been sent to various different locations throughout Bangkok - but I keep coming back to Ban Chiangs - the food, the atmosphere, the service are all top notch. Although not the flashest restaurants in Bangkok, it definitely makes up for it ambiance. It is a hot spot... More

I visited this restaurant because it was recommended by an expat living in Bangkok. As I arrived with my family I realised it was not truly Thai. Every table I looked had European diners. Yes it's fine for a European palate but if you want truly authentic Thai food, this is not the place. All the dishes ordered by us... More

My husband and I visited this restaurant on the first night of our honeymoon and what a beautiful little restaurant it was. The food was reasonably priced when compared to UK prices though a little expensive by Thai standards...however, it was worth every penny! We paid 1,200BHT for two starters, two mains, two sides and two alcoholic drinks and the... More

We have eaten at this restaurant close to 10 times in all our years of visiting Bangkok and it never fails to please. It is in a very quaint house, and it makes you feel like you are dining in someone's home as a guest. The food is tasty and not very expensive. Do make reservation, especially if you are... More

We went to this restaurant based on Trip Advisor recommendations, and were most impressed. The food was wonderful, price comparable to most other restaurants, good service, good area, etc. It’s close to theLeuba at State, Novatel, Shrangi-La, etc and it's located behind Holiday Inn Hotel. Not much else to say except – go!

Ban Chiang is tucked away in a back street off Silom/Holiday Inn - but what an absolute gem this restaurant is. The food is just marvelous - amazingly presented - good size portions - wine selection is limited but very acceptable - and yes, you can have true spicy Thai food - so we had to come back two nights... This restaurant ticked all the boxes for us, great food, reasonably priced, nice setting and close to our hotel. We stay in Bangkok often and have never been there before so thanks to Trip Advisor or we would never have found it. The satay and Pad Thai were excellent, we will definitely be back.

Most of the people who do come here are foreigners but that doesn't make the food any less desirable. We ordered the green curry with shrimp and also the red curry with duck, both of them get a thumbs up from me, infact the green curry with shrimp was just out of this world. Yum, yum, yummy....

Trip advisor works it's magic! Didn't want to eat in the hotel we were staying in, so typed nearest place to eat and this came up. Half the price of the hotel with double the flavour and just two mins away by foot. Prompt service, good menu, great food. We really recommend this place. Final piece of advice for the... More
