Massaman Nua

We live in Bangkok and come to this place especially for the 'Massaman Nua', which is an excellent executed curry with beef (not very common in Thailand to have good beef on the menu). Order some vegetable side dish to share and you have your complete meal (potato present in the curry and of course... read more

Good things first : the restaurant looks great and nicely decorated. Now the bad : against my friend better judgment I chose to give the so-call restaurant a try because the restaurant looks pretty and we were hungry. We decided on a few basic Thai dishes I.e. Chicken with holy basil , chicken with soar bamboo in jungle style curry... More

This is my third time visiting this lovely Thai restaurant. It is in a wooden house, with plants growing around. I went there for dinner and ordered shrimp pancake, pomelo salad, yellow curry with duck, stir fried pork with chili and basil leaves, and banana fritter. Shrimp pancake is crispy but not greasy at all. Pomelo salad mixed with fish... More

Great Thai food for very good prices (around 200 THB per meal). Good quality, service and ambiente. It's much cheaper than other restaurants nearby (e.g. The Blue Elephant or Chef Man @ Eastin), but I prefer Ban Chiang.

We discovered this place, near Silom Road and now easy to reach by Metro, twenty-three years ago. In the four times we have been to Bangkok we have always eaten very well, expecially for the curries, that I consider among the best ones you can eat all over the world. The place is nice, in a colonial style house and... More

This restaurant was a bit more expensive than I am usually willing to spend on traditional Thai food because there are many more reasonably priced options... but it was worth every extra baht. The restaurant is set in an unusually rare historic wooden house not far from the Chao Praya River. I have lived in Thailand and Laos for more... More

Good food. Lots of meat, dishes lack some vegetable. Not too spicy. Place looks good and cosy. Nice staff. Dishes for around 160. Can sit outside.

Excellent Thai food in a great old Thai house. The food is very tasty and can be done not spicy on request. The service is good. The setting is really nice. This is Thai food at its best, much better than most well-known places. Worth the trip.
