Good food!

Good food. Lots of meat, dishes lack some vegetable. Not too spicy. Place looks good and cosy. Nice staff. Dishes for around 160. Can sit outside.

This restaurant was a bit more expensive than I am usually willing to spend on traditional Thai food because there are many more reasonably priced options... but it was worth every extra baht. The restaurant is set in an unusually rare historic wooden house not far from the Chao Praya River. I have lived in Thailand and Laos for more... More

Excellent Thai food in a great old Thai house. The food is very tasty and can be done not spicy on request. The service is good. The setting is really nice. This is Thai food at its best, much better than most well-known places. Worth the trip.

Been in this place many a times. My favorite dish is the Madras Crab Curry. Thai styled crab curry without shell. Portion is huge and I always get side of morning glory and steamed rice. Staff are friendly and polite all the time. Thank you!

Been coming here for years now. Never disappointed. Love the red duck curry with lychees. The yellow crab curry is wonderfully aromatic. The green bean with fish and salted eggs goes so well with rice. In an earlier time, they used to do hor mok in fresh coconut. I guess it was too time consuming to steam on demand. Only... More

We last visited Ban Chiang 3 years ago the last time we were in Bangkok and thought we'd revisit this time. Just as excellent once again. The setting is fantastic with an outdoor area (covered because of the inevitable rain) surrounded by tropical plantings. It's gets a little warm under the canopy so we choose to eat inside. Pleasantly air... More

The food here is delicious, and the dishes are big! You could easily split one. Also, it is expensive for a backpacker but not outrageous. Try it once.

I have been here 3 times and each time the food was fantastic, especially the beef massaman. Sitting out in the garden is lovely and sultry, but could be rather hot for some, inside is air-conditioned and quaint. Very clean, very good service and always a joy if in this part of town. It can get extremely busy after 8pm... More

We got to Thailand and were jet lagged, so we came on here and found a local restaurant to our hotel. Best thing we could have done! This was night one of 3 weeks we spent travelling around Thailand and this was by far the best. The decor is a little bit of an odd mix but it creates a... More

We went there today for dinner and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. We chose 4 different main course dishes and all were very good indeed. My Thai guest confirmed this. If it were not for the high standard of cuisine here I would rate the restaurant as 'average'. The service was slow, almost indifferent , and I described it at... More
