Tucked away in a back street of Bangkok is this beauty. I've eaten in many Thai restaurants around Thailand and this for me was my favourite massaman, so nutty and tasty! Outside was very busy and we hadn't booked but securing a table was problem inside. Very nice ambiance, Thai with almost a Mediterranean twist. Will be back!

Always excellent Thai food. We have been going to Ban Chiang, easy walk from Silom Road, for more than 25 years. Still top!

Had a very nice evening at Ban Chiang restaurant a 5min walk from Lebua. Nice setting and very good food! Very big portions though that can easily be shared!

This is my first review below three stars. My friends and I went to Ban Chiang (which is near our hostel) for dinner after arriving in Bangkok from Hanoi. I ordered the Messeman curry (sorry about the spelling) and my friend ordered the fried chicken. My curry was good, the sauce was very tasty, but the chicken wasn't the best... More

This is the kind of restaurant people would always returned to, time after time, and for me, I have lost count of how many times since my first visit early 2000, the only thing I remember is the food is always honestly cooked, and happy each time. The restaurant is situated in the heart of center of Bangkok with the... More

My wife and I had a lovely, quiet lunch on New Year's Eve at this Bangkok hideaway. There is both indoor (A/C) and outdoor seating. Either way, the plants and quaint decor provide a wonderful contrast to the bustling Silom area outside. We had delicious spicy squid with basil, a yellow chicken curry, and papaya salad. The food was excellent.... More

We got there a bit early. Easy to locate. Mostly foreigners on my date of visit. The atmosphere is cosy. We were quite satisfied except for couple of dishes - Yellow curry with chicken and Marinated Chicken in Pandan leaves. The chicken in both dishes were a bit dried. The shrimps in the Tom Yum soup were not fresh. Fried... More

This was recommended by the hotel concierge and it was a very good. We sat outside and in a very well setup area away from any main street so no traffic and people noise which was great. My wife is vegetarian and what was good was that menu even had a separate vegetarian option. They even managed to understand when... More
