A bit disappointing

We went there today for dinner and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. We chose 4 different main course dishes and all were very good indeed. My Thai guest confirmed this. If it were not for the high standard of cuisine here I would rate the restaurant as 'average'. The service was slow, almost... read more

I have been here 3 times and each time the food was fantastic, especially the beef massaman. Sitting out in the garden is lovely and sultry, but could be rather hot for some, inside is air-conditioned and quaint. Very clean, very good service and always a joy if in this part of town. It can get extremely busy after 8pm... More

We got to Thailand and were jet lagged, so we came on here and found a local restaurant to our hotel. Best thing we could have done! This was night one of 3 weeks we spent travelling around Thailand and this was by far the best. The decor is a little bit of an odd mix but it creates a... More

Enjoyed a delicious Thai meal in the delightful setting of this restaurant, located just behind the Holiday Inn on Silom Road. Charming staff and choice to sit in the garden, amongst the scented orchids, or in the air conditioned quirky restaurant, Both are charming. Extensive menu-too much choice and well priced. Enjoyed tempura prawns and whole crab to start which... More

Surprisingly cheap and shockingly delicious; take the time to get here and have a meal - undoubtedly destination cuisine.

After a couple days tasting street food, fancy Thai restaurants, local market food... we asked our guide to suggest a local restaurant, with traditional Thai food, not westernized. He took us to Ban Chiang, wrote in a piece of paper what his recommendations were and we just did it. AMAZING!! what a great service, delicious food, fair price and cozy... More

we'd had dinner in the Blue Elephant, in the same Bangkok district and were recommended the Ban Chiang as being a zillion times better value. So right. It's down a little side street a 5 minute walk from the Surasak BTS station. There's a cosy outside garden area where we sat initially. It was so hot and steamy that night... More

Nice restaurant with nice atmosphere. The service was good and the food not bad. I know that most of BKK restaurants are for tourists but we feel that this one is more than the others with many groups of tourists.

It's a rekown tourist place, only westeners among customers, yet the food is quite good and the menu plenty to choose from. Price for quality nice. The structure of the place is lovely as it looks like a antique private house with a garden, surrounded by tall and modern skyscrapers. Service is gentle yet the level of english spoken by... More
