During our stay at The Mandarin Oriental we enjoyed lunching at The Verandah several times. Such a charming place to watch the passing river scene and the to and fro of the hotel guests, with a perfect gin & tonic in hand, and to peruse the extensive menu. We chose both Thai and international dishes and were pleased with the... More

Had lunch at The Verandah in April 2015. I went for a vegetarian Thai chili (Khiaw Waan), iced tea and an espresso. Service was absolutely impeccable and efficient. Excellent house made bread was served beforehand. The meal was delicious, good amount and beautifully presented too. Also the tea that came with additional limes and sugar juice and espresso which was... More

We had dinner at the Bangkok Mandarin Oriental's Verandah restaurant after arriving on their shuttle boat - you can catch this from Saphan Taksin BTS if you travel by Skytrain. The boat is a very enjoyable way to start (and end) your Oriental experience. The food was very good, with a wide selection of dishes both western and Asian, vegetarian... More

An excellent place to "graze" with a bottle of wine or cocktail whilst watching the world go by. There is no pressure to hurry and you can have either a quick lunch or like us, enjoy a 2-3 hour experience. We are on holiday. The food is excellent with a wide choice within the menu. The wine list is generally... More

If the buffet is normally compared lot of food in a poor quality, this is the place for the comparison, is made to shame. The food served here along with the atmosphere, makes the experience amazing

If you aren't sure what you want to eat and you want a more casual setting, the Verandah is perfect. You can eat inside, outside on the deck or down next to the river. Menu has a range of American/Continental favorites and some Thai dishes for those who want to go native. Quality and service both very good!

I have dined at the Verandah four or five times over the years and there has never been an occasion when I have not been completely satisfied and happy.
