We've eaten & drank here a few times. Its a nice little oasis in the "less glamourous than you might think" gem district of town. Food is very wide-ranging but predominantly European. The pork chops are lovely (and huge) and the chili is well done and not just thrown together. The Latvian owner, Peter, is usually there and is very... More

Stayed at the red Pinn with a friend of mine for 2 nights and I have to say we were impressed. It's a little hard to find but once you get there you will not be disappointed. The rooms are spacious and clean and comfortable although the bed is a tad bit too hard for my taste. The owner was... More

Recently stayed at this inn - June 2012. Friendly and helpful in all areas even to get the right taxi for us for our trips. Rooms were supurb, plenty of light or dark when needed, lovely balcony, cleaned every day. Every room and bar aircondioned with the lastest model. Loved the bar and restaurant meals. Everything from traditional Thai to... More

As a party of six friends, including three Russians, one Australian, one German, and one Scot we gave the Red Pinn restaurant a try as the menu, as viewed online, seemed to offer each of us a pretty reasonable choice. The menu was as eclectic as any I have ever seen. Alas, this was to be its downfall, as the... More

Hotel and restaurant in one place. Find them difficult. The restaurant is located in the heart of the criminal district of Bangkok. During the day the restaurant around the pandemonium of different nationalities from around the world. In the evening stillness, like a cemetery. Latvian flag hanging on the wall in the restaurant, the bar are bottles of Latvian vodka.... More

This Restaurant is a gem. Peter, appropriately calls this Restaurant the "Peasant Inn" as this is not a fancy Restaurant, but it serves good home(Peasant) style food, good wine, and great ambiance, at very cheap prices, as compared to other "Fareng" Restaurants in Bangkok. Peter's wine list is short but of good quality. The wines are supplied by Charputier, and... More

I've read all the reviews here before mine, which I've never done before writing mine. Strangely, I agree with the good reviews and the not-so-good ones. I usually order two or three tapas and they're great. There is a large variety of tapas. The breakfasts are also very good--especially The Full Monty for 240 baht (about $7.60); it has "unlimited... I first came to Red Pinn a few days after it opened. The owner, Peter, was most friendly and helpful, and I had the feeling of being in an old-fashioned European inn. I had the full breakfast (served all day), and it was far more than I could eat--but I managed. Everything about the place beckoned me to return. And... More
