We got this place from tripadvisor which in the past has been very reliable, so we innocently perused the listings of Bangkok restaurants and the listing read fantastic, glowing references and fabulous photo's, HAH whoever took these photo's deserves an Oscar, We made a reservation on a Tuesday for the "Fabulous" buffet and when we turned up and sat down... Over the past 7 months we have spent many wonderful Sundays at this famous place for brunch. Since they introduced the a la carte selection for such yummy treats as scrambled eggs with caviar, eggs benedict, etc.etc. the breakfast is much nicer since these dishes are best eaten fresh as opposed to the pre-cooked version . Decadent goodies are in... More

The Rain Tree dinner buffet ---seafood theme on friday----- was excellent. Grilled lobster very good, wagyu beef nicely rare, tender and delicious. Oysters, shrimp, smoked salmon etc etc etc. Everything was great. We opted for the free-flow wine for extra 500baht/person and had very good brut champagne followed by a very good cabernet sauvignon----excellent value. Free flow lived up to its... More

My boyfriend and i chose to have the buffet dinner there. It was a very pleasant evening with great food. I'd say the five star rating is overhyped. My rating would be a 3.5. Essentially, it is a massive buffet in a hotel 'cafe' (a big fancy cafe)... They have some sushis... oysters sitting on a block of ice(somewhat dry at 730pm)... european assortment of fresh meats grilled to order. Lamb chop was excellent. Indian dishes, chinese dishes, thai dishes.... More

We love fish. We could have fish every day. We have been to RTC several times and this time as earlier we choosed the recommended Snow Fish which was delicious. We started with a shared King Crab salad and got all the sauces from the buffet. Then this snow fish, we guess from Chile and also a cold water fish,... More
