My husband and I were recommended to eat at Bo.lan while on our honeymoon in December. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, we thought it was well-presented, and all the food had a unique taste. I am vegetarian so I was very impressed with the variety offered and everything tasted superb. We made the error of saying we wanted our food... More

Not impressed for a number of reasons. First, overly restrictive cancellation policy - 2 days advance notice required and it's not even if the restaurant is that booked out when we arrived. Second, poor drink pairing options. If you select the "5 beers", do note it's 5 small glasses of craft beer, not 5 bottles. "5 cocktails" is better but... More

we used to love this place. It easily boasted the best Thai food in Bangkok and that means a lot. Now that they have moved, they are in a much larger restaurant, which feels cold - very cold. Dinner can only be chosen from two taster menus, which is not great. but what is worse is, that should you be... More

A one in a lifetime experience, or at least only on special occasions. The food is 'revisited' Thai, with the possibility of having the dishes spicy or not spicy, the setting is beautiful (a wooden house amidst a garden), the service attentive and discrete. But all these qualities have their price!

Loved Bo.Lan which was recommended to us. The setting is wonderful and the service immaculate. Glad we put our decent togs on. My only disappointment was minor - one curry was too hot (unusual for me to say). The rest of the food was excellent. The bill was reasonable for a place of that kind. I would happily pass on... Top 5 of my dining experiences around the world. Truly. New location has a beautiful outside area for a pre dinner drink. Inside is exotic and plush. OK. We couldn't order a la carte. It was a choice of menus. But they catered very carefully for spiciness factor and do not require everyone to be the same. The first course... More

Quality comes at a price. Over 200 Euros for diner for two (the smaller Brief menu and a bottle of australian white wine) is a lot in Bangkok. I would say it is worth it as you will discover revisited traditional dish, with more subtle flavours and less spice than anywhere else (ask for light spicy level). Apart for the... More

This was very much a last minute stop on my way back to the UK. I had one day in Bangkok and time for one restaurant to dine in. I needed a Thai food fix that was guaranteed not to disappoint and so the choice was a simple one…BoLan. We booked in for lunch and headed up to BoLans new... More

Place is expensive by Thai standard, the degustation menu has more than enough to fill us full. It's said to be authentic Thai which may not suit us too well as we have tried better and tastier Thai food (might be not too authentic) elsewhere. Atmosphere is quiet and rustic, posh too.
