When I was a resident of Bangkok, I used to patronize this restaurant very frequently. Back in Bangkok on a business trip, I was very pleased to see that the food quality is as good as it was when I lived here. The ambience adds to the experience so I would recommend anyone to try when visiting Bangkok.

This restaurant came highly recommended from on-line reviewers as fine dining Italian but my experience was that the only thing fine dining was the bill! The setting: charmless and cold (both in mood and temperature - bring a jacket if sitting between wine cellar and door). The food: started with signature sharing plate - bland rubbery calamari, italian sausage that... More

Even the taxi driver had trouble finding this place. It was down a darkened road away from any activity - so beware when you are dropped there. But it is obviously well known as the restaurant was buzzing. Great food and wine - service friendly and efficient

Very close to the hotel and very good food and atmosphere. Fourth or fifth visit and always the same standard.

This was within walking distance from Health Land Sathorn so we chose it as our dinner place after our spa at Health Land. The place was cozy and the menu was with good variety. The food items were all good with attentive service. Price a bit on the up side accordingly to Thailand standard but the lobster soup was one... More

I make it a point to go to Opus on every Bangkok trip. Food and service are excellent. Alex is a great host and makes everyone feel at home. Will be back.

We have known the owner of Opus since literally week one of opening many years ago. We have come back several times for special occasions, as couples, and meeting up with friends and family. If there's a neighborhood Italian restaurant that we would choose without hesitation, that has excellent service, good food, friendly people, and a homey feel, this would... More

This was our first trip to the restaurant and we went there without a reservation. A tourists we were a little under dressed and had a bunch of shopping bags when we arrived and the guy at the door was a little put off and wanted to turn us away (as the restaurant was full and the wait a minimum... I have heard about Opus from many expats in Bangkok and had always been put off by the fact it sounded like an expat expensive trap. To my surprise the food was delicious . the staff however are a little surly and act as if you owe them a favour by eating there. But despite that I am tempted to... More
