The best food I had in Bangkok and probably the best sushi I had so far. Had Jackie, sashimi and a softshell crab maki. Their special Jackie was unique and flavourful. Their sashimi was fresh and the maki was filled by far the best compared to other sushi restaurants. Went to Isao at around 8 and had to wait about... More

The best sushi in Bangkok, nice atmosphere and cosy, need to book if you don't want to queue for a table. For sure worth it!

I am a Sushi lover and this restaurant did not disappoint. I had the sample platter and the Jackie roll. Presentation is great taste is basic and not very impressive thats why it gets 4 but still worth it in my opinion. Come early because the waits out the door!

What a brilliant find. You could walk past this place and never know its there. Wooden tables, no table cloths, back packers, locals. Nothing smart about Isao other than the incredible food. The presentation is unusual and excellent. The quality of the fish is first class and it's freshness evident. The staff are helpful but not all speak English so... More

I've never walked/driven past this place and seen an empty foyer. You'll always see people sitting outside waiting for their table. Food is really excellent, the ingredients are fresh and really creative presentation. I definitely will keep coming back but gosh it's hard to get a table here most times! I'd probably rank it as one of my top 3... More

it serves fusion food. The signature dishes that you must (I really use "must") order are jackie, volcano and sushi sandwich. Jackie is very delicious. It's roll with no vegetable. hahaha. its source is damn delicious Volcano is baked shell with source. If you try one, i'm sure you must order more. Sushi sandwich is good. Many people waits in... Always come here when visiting Bangkok, for their creative rolls and other dishes. Fresh seafood with a special twist. Especially like their california and crispy rolls.

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighborhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
