Amazing spin on sushi

This is one of the best sushi places I've been to on the planet earth. Creative rolls. Delicious fresh food. Yummy green tea. Wonderful service. Pricey though, as is most sushi. Definitely not good if you're on a budget. Splurge here.

I was invited by some friends to try this restaurant and I was not disappointed at all...It was very difficult to book as we did it with very short notice but somehow we were offered a table for 5 people...The food was amazing, lots of flavours, shapes and colours...the service was also good however it was a bit pricey! but... We, a group of 2, ended up paying 2000B for dinner. Hot tea was 50B, most places would offer for free. Small sake was 400B or so. Place has rather small settings and very busy. Food was good but not outstanding. Not sure why the hype is so high on the reviews. Not a bad place but pricey for bangkok.... More

I've been to this restaurant twice on special occasions and have never been disappointed. The sushi taste great and ingredients are very fresh. The Philadelphia roll, caterpillar roll, and the crab rolls are not to be missed! When we ordered salmon skin roll, the waitress was kind enough to give us a heads up that it's going to take 25-30... It's worth a stop in if you like sushi. Don't expect a life altering experience though. The staff is friendly, the fish is fresh( at least the day I was there). Not bad.

This place serves really interesting sushi rolls. I would recommend trying the sushi sandwich, which have excellent texture and good balance of flavours. Lunch sets are great value. Overall a great Japanese restaurant in Bangkok

I visited this restaurant last Saturday with a group of friends. Luckily we had booked the Tuesday before so didn't have to join the large group of people queuing outside. The restaurant is small and very unpretentious, looking like many other Japanese restaurants in town. We were given a table upstairs and made comfortable while we waited for two further... More

I went to Isao following recommendations from websites. I was not disappointed. I ordered the set of 8 pieces of sushi and 4 pieces of California roll. The first sign that this is a good restaurant was the wasabi. This place uses real wasabi - not the icky toothpaste green stuff used in most sushi places. The 8 pieces of... More

This restaurant was well-reviewed by a local food blogger and we found our experience to match the review. The staff were patient to attend to the requests of our group and the food came in very decent sized portions, perfect to share in a group of 7. The sushi sandwich is a must try, crispy and delicious.
