Excellent Food You Can't Miss!

I often visit Bangkok and this is one restaurant I will never miss! In fact, if I am in Bangkok for 4 days, I will have at least 2 meals there! This is how good it is! Not for the service, but for the food! The menu is extensive but be selective! Must try are their "Isao's Signature". Just... read more

Tried Isao twice in 2 month during both visits to bangkok this year. 1st, reservation is a hassle for ISAO as they are so popular they do not accept email reservations But all the inconvenience is worth it. The signature makis are perfectly but may not be of liking for traditional Japanese food lovers. Make sure to make reservation before... More

Without a doubt this place serves up the best sushi I've ever eaten. So fresh! Came here with my husband one evening when it was super busy. We had to queue outside and wait for about 20 mins but it was worth the wait!! We ordered the Jackie, sushi sandwich and the volcano (spicy scallop) - all 3 dishes were... More

What a great surprise. The menu is vast and plenty to choose from. The signature rolls are to die for. I would recommend the soft shell rolls and also the crunchy rolls. Jackie roll well fun. Friendly staff and also nice relaxing location. I would go there again for sure. Great for friends or romance...make sure you go !

I was here several years before, but the quality and the service is still excellent. The place has become much more popular and the price has increased but is still a bargain, compared to european standards. I (1person) had to wait outside for aprox 10min on the woooden banks, before a was seated. The outside que moves pretty fast, because... More

I loved my spinach entrée and vegetarian sushi. It was high quality. You could see that they put an effort into their dishes. Great, attentive service. I hope we have time to go back again on this trip.

I took my wife here for her birthday and we really enjoyed it. We showed up without reservations and had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated, which was fine. One drawback, they don't sell wine by the glass, only full bottles. Definitely not traditional sushi, more fusion that you find in the US, which was fine by us,... More

I will eat at Isao twice a week with my friends. This place is very popular. If you plan on going, just spare like 20 mins waiting for your table. I always order their set lunch. It has the best deal. Hot or iced green tea for free, you get a salad, one side, main course, soup and fresh fruit.... More

There are thousands of Japanese restaurants in Bangkok. There are some offering really authentic Japanese food but Isao definitely NOT one of those. The food offered by Isao is more western style which consists more cooked food (less sushimi), more use of salad sauce, etc. Well, maybe I have a wrong expectation, I was a bit disappointed with the way... We went here as a special treat on our last night of a two month trip. The food was delicious! We shared a Sushi platter and a Sashimi platter. The fish was top quality and the flavours were delightful. This, plus two beers and Sake, came to around £40, which, for food of this quality, is a good price. The... More
