Really nice service in a well air conditioned restaurant. The food was excellent, and very reasonably priced for such an affluent area of Bangkok.
Just a few steps away from the Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza. Had a delicious lunch of Duck in Red Curry Sauce and fell in love with the lightly-battered, deep-fried soft-shell crabs. "Ginger Garden" was a refreshing herbal soft drink. Highly recommended.
A bit out of the way on soi 34, but the food was worth the taxi hassle factor!! I went with a group of ten - it seems this restaurant caters for a lot of groups. The restaurant is in a modern two-story house and seating is all aircon. We enjoyed a smorgasbord of excellently prepared Thai food - flavours... More
Only tried the one in Siam Paragon, the service standard does not exist. The food was quite ordinary, and slow. We had to wait for more than 1hr to get a bowl of steamed rice. Next day we tried another Thai food, this time was at the food court at Siam paragon with fraction of the cost from previous night.... More
This restaurant is for me (and my wife) one of the best in BKK for Thai food. The decor has chnaged towards something more modern with more space. The staff is still nice and alert in the way theyr serve. We recommend in particular - barbecue pork shoulder - beef fried rice - green curry - crab fried rice (... More
There's more challenging food to be found in Bangkok but this serves a decent selection of well prepared Thai food. They've plenty of Thai and expat clientele. The atmosphere is friendly, the service is excellent (which is usually not the case in Bangkok), the surroundings are clean and attractive (again usually not the case). They've a broad selection of well... More
Had a business dinner and was not overly impressed. Nothing wrong but nothing special either. It is a very personal matter of taste, but having been spoiled by countless eateries Bangkok has to offer with very special ambience by the river, on rooftops, in lush tropical garden settings, I wouldn't go out of my way to visit again. Tucked away... More
During our stay in Bangkok we ended up going back to the Taling Pling restaurant in Siam Paragon 3 times. The food is just great, good service, although crowded they always manage to get a table for 2.We tried each time new dishes and all of them were delicious. It's one of the best food chains I have ever tried.
Yes, it's a chain but don't let that stop you from going to one and enjoying great Thai food. My 'Thai' son took us here as his family are fans. Each dish was excellent. The Tom Kha Gai soup, the fried fish (my husbands favourite), the chicken with tamarind, the morning glory ( fresh greens, my favourite) and the desserts... More
I love the food here, have been many times. For new readers, the one in BANGRAK is now closed. That has been replaced with the one on Sukhumvit Soi 34. This is the only "proper" restaurant which is not in a mall setting i.e. it is it's own building. The ones in the malls suck. The decor and ambiance are... More
