Very tasty food

We had the special of the day (yellow curry) which was delicious, and at 80b very good value for money. We also tried the squid and garlic, caramel pork and chicken fried rice with basil. The bill came to about 400b with beer. The owner understands the western palette and cooks the food... read more

Some people complain about the service... Sure if you had your breakfast at one if the great (and relatively cheap) 5star hotels of Bangkok and you expect the same service at this small restaurant you could be disappointed. But I have been treated worse before in Greece and Paris, so I am able to look through this and enjoy the... More

Trust the negative reviews on this restaurant. Owner is close to being rude and the Thai food is carelessly put together. The taste lacks bite but the bill does not. Many reviews are pasted on the restaurant's walls, such as those from Fodors, but the writers should revisit this over-the-hill restaurant if they can find it again-our taxi driver gave... More

So so so crave-able. Khun Tim has forgotten more about Thai food than you will ever know. When I come to BKK with friends this is where I bring them. To taste her food is to know "Thai food". I know there are a handful of signature dishes here (like the banana flower salad) but I think you are best... More

Food was fantastic, and this place was literally around the corner from our hotel so not too hard to find (only walked past it once!) We had the Mee Grob (sic) a traditional thai dish which lonely planet recommended and a chicken yellow curry, both were lovely and very flavourful. The service was a little eccentric, with an old lady... More

This place was recommended in Lonely Planet, so we went there. I did see the negative reviews on here, but wanted to try it anyway. The place was hard to find and didn't quite match up to Google maps. We were walking down narrow streets with no sidewalks, while cars were in a parking lot traffic jam. Not fun, so... More

Disagreeable owner and disgusting food. I ignored my Thai friend's advice about this place and decide to give it a try, the place certainly looks trustworthy with a nice (for Thailand) decoration and lots of good reviews on the walls, however the disappointment starts with the owner shouting to you from the back table to take your order and not... Very disappointing! Don't be fooled into thinking you will have authentic Thai food. This restaurant can't even cook properly a simple trite thai dish as ka prao gai. Instead, I received a dish made with sugar, baby corns and lime leaves mixed within the basil and chicken. The rice was soggy and the egg was saturated in butter. The owner was... More

Worst experience in our three-weeks trip (BKK, Laos, Vietnam) We showed up asking if it was possible to eat there and the woman started shouting something in english about the waiting time. I said "ok, no problem, we have time", but after 40 minutes they didn't even take our order and the familes already in the place when we got... More

food was okay, but the service was absolute TERRIBLE!!! Imagine eating while the woman who took the orders, sits in the back and watches you the whole time. I dared to plug in my cellphone to charge it a bit while drinking the huge bottle of beer (they don't sell small ones, only 640 or something ml), and we were... More
