Having been to both Baan Klang Nam 1 and 2, I would prefer 1 as it is more authentic in terms of ambience and settings. This place is not easy to find as it is off main road and you need to go through a narrow path. The place is simply done and people are here for the food, dining... More

Went for dinner yesterday, after that someone that I trust recomended this place like a must do in BKK. The place is ok looking, the service very poor and the food is really bad. Asked scallops with vegetables, beef, rice with shrimps, seafood soup and sticky rice. Left almost everything. I could not have more than 2 spoons of any... More

It is typical of many outdoor riverside restaurants along various rivers in Thailand. This one on the Chao Praya river in Bangkok is great for tourists and Thais alike. Small groups of four to eight are best suited. But there were plenty of couples. The seafood was just great. Tried the Thai grown ostrich. Very tender and cooked Thai style.... More

Hidden in a small lane on Rama 3 Road, the Baan Lang Nam 1 started the first of the several similar restaurant to follow. If you arrive by car, there are limited parking area next to the restaurant. However the parking lot fill up fast. The place has many regular customers both Thai and expat. Therefore reservation is recommended on... More

It is a very well known and established restaurant on the Chao Praya river serving excellent sea food but it seems that the quality and the service are slowly decreasing years after years. It is still serving a good sea food in a nice location but it is not as good as it used to be. During our last visit... More

Impressive local restaurant on the river. the food was excellent. The chicken fried rice was out of this world and the prawns were wonderful. Definitely worth a visit.

Went to this place with high hopes. Had most of the recommended dishes - steamed goby fish, crab, grilled large prawns and scallops. Overall, nothing had much zing to it. It s not that anything was bad. Just none of the fabulous clarity of Thai food. In fact, the taste was more like a Chinese restaurant - and on reflection... More

Back in bangkok again and first place I headed for lunch is Baan Klang Nam II. The reason why I'm writing in this thread "Baan Klang Nam I" is because the food was so good that I visited the restaurant again on my 2nd night at Baan Klang Nam I. I prefer Baan Klang Nam I in the night is... More

The taste of the food is good. Price is average. Service is ok. Just do not like the atmosphere. Be prepared for the mosquitoes,!!
