Terrible Thai food for the less discerning

The worst Thai food I have eaten as far as I can remember, even elsewhere in the world. Watered down Thai food that lacks balance, particularly low on heat (even when we requested for spicy) and acidity, but much too heavy on the fish sauce and sugar. No amount of lime juice or extra chilli could... read more

I have visited Harmonique every year for a decade and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is unique, the setting eclectic, service variable, (which we now expect and find all part of the experience), and the food is marvellous. The curries are amazing and the sides dishes wonderful. I recommend the wing bean salad and pomelo salad as sides. It isn't... More

Wonderful food, we will come again during our stay. The dishes we ordered were fragrant and subtle. I expected more spice and heavy tastes. Steamed fish with lime, crab curry, larb mou, sticky rice with mango, mai tai. All delicious. Oh, the place is indeed on others' radars and pretty busy.

Atmospheric restaurant that smacks of old world Bangkok. Food was delicious, servers were authentic Thai, various items dropped around us from the trees in the garden where we ate. Interesting group of patrons from all over the world. Lovely experience.

We enjoyed a 3 course meal each, 2 cokes, and fresh coconut and pineapple shakes for under £20 altogether. The food and atmosphere was great and the service was friendly too. We would definitely recommend to other travellers.

Staff not very friendly a little bit stressed. But the place is quite nice and food was good! In a quite Street near Lebua Tower and walking distance to more riverside Hotels.

Our first and last visit to Harmonique. All the stuff were almost running through the restaurant and never smiling. We asked to have the starters first and later the main meal, but when we did not even finished the starter we got the main dishes already. When i said something about it they didn't understand me, even two others did... More

This place is a little hidden away, but the ambiance and setting are great, the food is very well presented and tasty. Would highly recommend the mango sticky rice(Khao Niaow Ma Muang) for dessert. It's a tiny bit expensive that other meals we've had, but still cheap enough.

The cooking is exceptional. For a tourist and expats restaurant, the prices are reasonable. The shrimp in coconut enters my pantheon of great dishes. The restaurant is attractive but casual. Harmonique is an easy walk from many of the riverside hotels. Larry Stein Author of 'Southeast Asia on a Rope: Thailand and Laos'
