Reliable quality at reasonable price & good service

Been coming here for over 20 years. Formula is the same - excellent choice of fresh sashimi & sushi with many other dishes available to suit taste and price. Possibly the oldest Japanese restaurant in town. Recommend local fish tuna and snapper sashimi (value) as well as octopus (taco) as well as... read more

Good food quality especially sashimi. Tamago Yaki is the restaurant signature and it doesn't let you down. During weekend, you should go early to avoid queuing.

We have been here for a few decades. I believe that the quality of dishes here used to be so delicious. However, the recent visit turned to be so-so. Things go more on the commercial side. Portion gets smaller and quality drop especially sushi and sashimi. Avoid sushi and shimi, I would say. Just go for normal dishes.

This restaurant is probaably one of the oldest Japanese restaurant at Bangkok. The restaurant has been frequented by visiting Japanese diginatories. Though the location is not very convinient and neither the displays are prominent enough to spot the place easily. The food taste is authentic and presentation is styish. The service level is average.

This is the restaurant I come back to when we eat Japanese in Bangkok. The fish is always fresh. The menu has enough variety to please almost everyone. Everything is well prepared. This will never happen but there is lots of room for improvement of their service. Food is delivered at our table and not in any particular order. I... More

Certainly tricky to find, it's in the middle of two streets but you can enter from either, it's in an alley. Interestingly it also has off street parking. Great service, very good food, private rooms available but don't turn up late without a reservation, it starts filling up by 7pm on week nights. Highlight was the grilled salmon and the... More

We were recommended to this restaurant by a friend. It is one of the oldest Japanese restaurant in Bangkok serving authentic Japanese cuisine. My wife ordered the sashimi. I do not take uncooked food and thus ordered a soul soba with grilled fish by the side. The sashimi & sushi were good (according to my wife), but my cooked dishes... More

This place is tucked away in a side alley and if you were going there for the first time you would really have to wonder what you were getting yourself in for. But once you are in the restaurant, the food is good and the service is also good. Generally the place is busiest at lunch times.
