this place sucks!!! the staff is friendly and the place is nice. but the food is total crap. we ordered a arroz con pollo, enchiladas de carne, empanadas, and flauta. out of all of that the flauta was good and the empanadas were decent, but the rest of the food was disgusting. the tortillas were really stale and the food... first off I ordered a Classic Margarita as a starter. Perfect. It was a perfect size and I don't regret getting that. I definitely recommend the Classic Margarita. Next I ordered the 3 crispy tacos, those were great as well. (Maybe they could add a little more salsa) the salsa was great! They were small tacos but very filling. There... More

Went a few weeks ago with a friend, didn't even know it existed. Got the burrito/flauta combo with rice and guacamole. All good! They also have a nice beer selection which I always appreciate. Solid Mexican food if you are in the Gongguan area.

I am shocked by Amy B's review of Mayan. I was a bartender in Canada for many years and have never had or made a better margarita. Calling it a 3 sipper is just blatantly false. I have to wonder about Amy's motivation in writing her review and think tripadvisor should pull it. Mayan's nachos and definitely homemade jalapeno salsa,... More

I love Mexican food and this was a total disappointment. I started off with the Classic Margarita....$10 usd I was thinking it would be a nice sized serving...wrong! Try 3 sips! It was the smallest glass I'd ever seen and it was full of ice. Then I moved on to the guacamole as an appetizer. Also small and served with... More

Sorry to hear you were disappointed with your visit, but we need to address a few issues and inaccuracies in your review. First, our Margaritas. They're awesome. They're made in standard 12oz rocks glasses, so kudos to you for getting it down in three 'sips' - proof positive they're that good! We offer a variety of Margis at various price... More

We have a friend who was playing cello for Mother's Day at the Mayan. The 5pm seating was booked so we took a table for 7 at the 7pm seating. Upon arriving at 7, the restaurant was filled with smoke and the 5pm seating had not yet been served their dinners plus their horde of now hungry 4-7 year olds... More

Redirected to this location because Lane 65 was only open for group reservations. Turned up at 9.30 on a Saturday evening and the place was empty! May have been as a result of the seemingly endless yards of roadworks outside. In any event, the food was very good. Service excellent and I enjoyed soem excellent bottled ale from Seattle. All... After trying to make a reservation, I got redirected to leave a message on their answering machine. They never called me back and I assumed that there was no problem with my table. Well, what a rude awakening I had when I pitched up & the whole place was closed! No lights, no notification on their website or Facebook group!honestly... More

If you are craving Mexican food in Taipei your only safe bet is The Mayan Grill. Great fish tacos, flan and extensive bar.

It's ALL about the SUPER Classic Margarita! Delish. Food was really nice and tasted very fresh! Had a nice beef faquitas?!-or something similar - for starter which had nice dipping sauce also. I had the fish soft tacos while my partner had the recommended chicken enchiladas, both were very nice. Still with half a SUPER margarita between two of us... More
