Excellent

Original dumpling and dim sum location that offers great food in a clean environment. Would definitely make the trek back to eat here. A must try when in Taipei.

We went around lunch time and said the wait time was half an hour, but about 15 minutes later we were given a table. The food was yummy (although the soup dumplings were not as hot as I'd hoped) and I didn't like that you were supposed to mix the dipping sauce yourself (sometimes, the restaurant knows best on what... Went there last Febraury and it was very disappointed. Seems like there is always a huge crowd waiting in line. Me and my sister waited for an hour, but definitely not worth it.

We went on a weekday dinner and despite the long line, our group of 4 diners was given a seat in 15minutes. We liked the stewed gluten, shrimp and pork dumpling and crab roe xiao long bao. Perhaps Din Tai Fung has been used as the barometer for good and quick Chinese food that a lot of restaurants with similar... More

My wife and I have patronised DTF outlets in several Asian cities but have never felt that it had really justified its popularity and high prices. Today's visit to the home of DTF was indeed a day of reckoning. We were really disappointed. The xialongbao with truffle and pork was poor. It was dry without hot flavorful soup oozing out... More

This is the most famous Restaurant in Taiwan though the food is more from Shanghai. Expect to queue as it's a daily affair but worth the wait as the food are good and nice. No credit card and only Cash payment.

I've been a big fan of Din Tai Fung for a long time, we didn't have to queue for long when we went only about 5 mins wait. To be honest i think its probably not worth to wait for hours just to go here, the food to me is great but no different to what's available at other outlets.

I'm a bun-lover, wouldn't miss this one when I go to Taipei, worth all the wait. We were seated after 40 minutes. Had different type of buns (Xiaolong, red bean paste buns, sesame buns) and dumplings. Still keep the standard despite it's such a big chain now. All staff members are well-trained with good service. Reception staff can speak English,... More

Excellent. Almost no wait, ordered while we waited. (We went on an early afternoon, mid-week. Staff was ver helpful in making recommendations and explaining the process to us (for ordering, how to make the sauce, etc.) Soup dumplings were fantastic. Also had shrimp and pork dumplings and the water spinach. It was all incredible. Would go back in a heartbeat.
