I loved everything at this place, - food was very good, prices very cheap, service efficient, the crowd around very lively and very local - you feel in the middle of real ordinary Taiwanese people's life; it is a very interesting experience! A dinner for 3 with 2 bottles of local beer and a lot of delicious food was only... More

Can't miss Din Tai Fung if you want the classic dumpling experience. This restaurant is embedded in the Taiwanese culture. There will always be queues outside any Din Tai Fung, but trust me, it is worth the wait. The staff speaks english and the food is served fast and it is vry tasty. The Jasmine tea is served free of... More

I was greatly impressed with the service and helpfulness of the staff. This is a restaurant where I can say they deserve every cent of the tips. Great Food. I can eat there everyday during my stay in Taipei but my hubby wanted a change. Pot stickers is out of this world and their famous Dim Sum is impressive and... More

Be there early to avoid the queue. We went there around 10.30 am and we were seated immediately. The waiter and waitress is very attentive and friendly. Service was excellent. Apart from their famous xiao long bao do try their sesame and taro bun. It was delicious! The bao texture is very soft with generous filling of taro and sesame.... More

This is where it all started. If you are visiting Taipei, this is a must visit. We were there around 3pm and there was no queue. We were seated immediately. The service staff, store and decor left traces of its humble beginnings. The furniture were new and the whole place felt really comforting. This is the only Din Tai Fung... More

We decided to visit the "Original" Din Tai Fung when we were in Taipei. This is the place that started it all, and now Din Tai Fung is a world wide icon for Shanghai xiao long bao. It was easy to get to the restaurant. We took the MRT to the Dongmen station (東門站) and the restaurant is within walking... More

It's worth a trip to Taipei, except that they now have 96 restaurants around the world. This one, however, is the mother ship and is a real dining experience. The signature Xiaolongbao is one of the greatest things you will ever put in your mouth. This place can get crazy but they have an amazingly efficient operation and the staff... More

Having heard we must visit this chain and of the Michelin stars won by the Hong Kong branches, four of us in Taipei headed to Din Tai Fung and waited 80 minutes to be seated. We were given numbers on arrival and an order sheet to complete and return beforehand and thus food could be served to us quicker. Food... More

I was taken there by my Taiwanese hosts claiming that it would be some of the best Chinese food I would have and I was definitely not disappointed. Simple, authentic, delicious food. Expect a line-up, but it's worth the wait. Great service too!
