We had chicken soup and some dumplings, Shaomai with crab roe and shrimp/bamboo shoot. My mom really liked chicken soup. What a treat to have a meal in Sanxi Hall (name for Emperor Qianlong's study). 罐湯包 (broth) was superb. So were the porridge, yam paste and the tri-coloured pastries. Thumbs up!
