I picked this restaurant based on the TA reviews and being near our Miramar Garden Hotel. It is located in the Breeze Mall, ground floor, all the way in the back, right side. The ambience f the restaurant is better than most Taiwanese restaurants, so good for business or romantic dinner. They have many sampler menus, but all have shark... More

Had Aoba as my first dinner when I touched down in Taipei. The spread in this restaurant is relatively good. I heard it was opened by a Taiwanese actor (Harlem Yu). The restaurant was dimly litted, very cozy ambience with low hanging lamps at our seat. There were 3 of us, ladies, had a good time exploring the different and... More

This was recommended by our concierge as a place to try for authentic food while in Taiwan. Our waiter recommended a number of items off of the menu and every dish we had was awesome. They even brought one or two extra dishes to our table to make the evening special. In short, I have been to many restaurants in... More

We visited over the Xmas weekend and the hotel helped us book AoBa for dinner on boxing day. It was Sunday evening and the restaurant was 80% full. The service was impeccable and we enjoyed the Taiwanese cuisine. The waiter recommended some simple Taiwanese dishes which turned out great. We really liked the 菜脯蛋 (which is essentially an egg omelette... More

This was our first of 8 nights in Tai Pei.. After experiencing all of the cuisines I can say this was by far the tastiest. Nice ambience and service as well.

Great local Taiwanese food, and in Taipei, it is easy to find. Is a chain with more than one location, went to one near shangrila and the one near sogo.
