This place has fabulous cakes, home made style. Dark chocolate was delicous. I also had fresh peach juice and it was very tasty. Prices are reasonable and owner very friendly!

The place serves great pastries. One of the very best in the town. And,the place gives a kind of "hippie era" feel. Always a pick when you are craving for cakes, and need some time out for yourself!

Delicious!! One of the greatest place you have to experience. Their bakes are really awesome. Mural on the walls add great ambiance to the place.

The snowmans cakes are amazing. Went there looking for a slice of cake to celebrate a birthday while in Khatmandu. Tried Chocolate Love, coconut dream and double chocolate, all were just great! Power goes off occassionally, and dont use the restroom!

After Durbar Square, Snowman's is great to grab a tea/coffee and a slice (or two, if you can manage it) to replenish your energy reserves. The slices are huge and a fair price. Chocolate, Chocolate-Banana, Mocha cake, Coconut cake, Carrot cake, plus a few others, conspire to create the classic cake dilemma of which one to have. They all look... More

After an exhaustive walk around Durbar Square in Kathmandu, seeing the Living Goddess and the personal effects of 3 generations of Nepali monarchs, you need a sit-down, a drink and a debrief. This place is great for that. Nearby, on Freak Street, it's tucked away but still easy to get to. The atmosphere is a bit grungy, dark, a bit... More

first and foremost this place has been around for years... you will acknowledge that fact when you enter.. from the old uncle to the dark ambience of the place with the only source from a paper lantern above each table...it does not look hygienic and to be honest, im not sure how clean the place is BUT... if you wish... I lived nearby this restaurant and walked by it on a daily basis, I saw the same cakes and pastries sitting on the shelf day after day, I finally went in and asked for a cup of chia, the white haired man on the counter looked at me like he didn't speak Nepali so I ordered in english and seated... I had many apple pies and apple crumbles around Pokhara and the Annapurnas region, specially in mountain lodges with german and dutch bakeries. It was good. But then, I reached the not so noisy (old) Freak St and found Snowman Café. Oh boy. First, a cozy ambient. First time I was there in the morning and noticed how the place... More

The Snowman provides a simple cafe setting for people to relax and enjoy an excellent selection of delicious cakes, desserts and drinks. On the three occasions I visited the food and service was exemplary. Despite its popularity with tourists on account of its high profile in guide books, the cafe remains an oasis of peace and calm. The upstairs area... More
