I stayed here in April for 4 nights. Initially it was only for 2 nights however I felt so secure and content I decided not to risk changing accommodation and was glad I did. Staff were knowledgeable, friendly and attentive, always more than happy to help whether it be for a chat or to book a car or a restaurant.... More

It was a pleasure meeting Kunal the owner of the cafe during our dinner. We had a great time there and it was quite interesting to talk to Kunal and food was awesome. It gave us a feeling of being at home.

Mitra cafe tucked away in one of the many corners of Thamel has excellent food! The set up is cosy and quite lovely, with hints of red, white, green and blue here and there. The snapper by far was my favorite dish from the steak and minced pork we ordered but I have to say it took forever for our... More

The food here is excellent we came here twice, before and after our trek. The service is great and the best spot to sit is upstairs near the Stupa...you may see the occasional monkey wondering past ;)

Great food incorporating elements of French and Nepali cuisines. Nice wine section, serene ambience, and very friendly staff. I personally dined here several times during my stay in Kathmandu and my experiences were consistently wonderful. Recommended items: chicken liver pâté, duck, tenderloin, pistachio parfait

After trying different restaurants, we decided to follow Lonely Planet recommendation and went to Cafe Mitra. The place is a little bit difficult to find but worth looking for it! Nice terrace, so quiet even in the middle of Thamel and such amazing food. The best we had during our trip to Nepal. It is rather "westernised" but after so... More

Another rainy Friday night, another dinner in Thamel. On a recent rainy late monsoon evening my wife and I headed out for dinner like we do most every Friday. Given the threatening skies and a late work day, we decided to stay close to home, which usually means Thamel. On dozens of occasions, we headed out with the intention of... More

Food is a bit pricey but it is worth every penny. If I could, I would go and eat there every day. Simply amazing,!
