Oh, the chicken salad sandwich! My visits(3) have only been whirlwind trips to Abilene over the last two years. No one makes better pastries than Amanda. All of the food is wonderful...she has a gift. It is also one of the only places in town to get a good coffee drink. This is a local favorite for a lunch date with the girlfriends. You can shop while you are in there, too. So many pretty things...

Had the turkey bacon wrap with a delicious pasta salad And whote peach tea. Wonderful! Kids had an enormous iced cinnamon bun "best we have ever had". Don't leave without getting a scone....the were great too. Also, cute items in shop to peruse while waiting. Nice bracelet for $5!

Whether it be breakfast or lunch, Amanda's Bistro will always hit the spot! The sandwiches are always handmade at time of order, hot brewed tea is available and a variety of flavors – and can be prepared as a cold tea if requested! Along with various handicrafts displayed, antique items, and home decor...Amanda's is an interesting and enjoyable place to... More

We are totally in love with Amandas atmosphere and food. Best breakfast sandwich in the world is the Dutchess, and it is made here . Amandas coffe is amazing and it is roasted in Kansas. Love this place. It is warm and inviting.

Title says it all. I have had the specialty drinks, the white chocolate Milky Way frappe is absolutely wonderful. The service is great, everyone is personable. I have had both breakfast and lunch and both have been delicious and of course they have good baked goods. Great little place in Abilene!

Amanda's sandwiches and pastries are fabulous! All handmade with love--nothing "processed." Her chicken salad sandwich is the best I've ever eaten anywhere! Everyone seems to love her pastas (side) as well, and often she will offer homemade bierocks. If you don't have room for a gooey bar, take one to go. Mmmmm mmm! Enjoy!

My wife and I very much enjoyed our lunch here. The service was friendly and pretty quick. I had the roast beef panini and my wife had a turkey, bacon, and swiss cheese panini and they were both yummy. Their iced tea was also very good. We enjoyed browsing around the place and looking at all the antiques, quilts, and... More

I shared a vegetarian sandwich with my friend and it was so fresh and tasty the had to have just harvested the vegetables. The herbal teas were perfect with the sandwich. They have fresh baked goods and a terrific brownie.

The chicken salad sandwiches here are very good .... they even toast the croissant - which just shows their attention to detail. However, the pasta salad was the best I've ever eaten. Not fancy, just delicious. And the iced coffee - heaven in a glass! Plenty strong, a choice of flavors (but not used to the point of taking over... More
