Food is great. Really nice food. The service was horrible. They figured the bill wrong, over charged for VAT and charged service on the automatic tip. The bathroom wouldn't flush the first time there. We decided to go again because the food was good and thought the service might be a fluke. But no - the service was still bad... More

The atmosphere is relaxed but elegant -- the equivalent of business casual. Wait staff in costume, attractive decor, and terrific, reasonably-priced food. We had been told Kampala had excellent Indian food and now we know why. We (four guys) ordered too much food, enjoyed every morsel, and paid less than $120 with tip and beers. Already planning a return with... More

I can confidently say, this is one of my favorite restaurant in Kampala. Simple, no fuss and high quality, the dishes highlight the ingredients.Their standout dish is the Chicken Tikka Masala other favorite over the year include Mutton Masala & Panner curry. The service is delightful, minimal and friendly.

Excellent restaurant, with nice atmosphere, good service and excellent food. We tried different dishes: meat, fish and vegetarian. We asked for mild (non-spicy) food. It was perfect to our Italian taste.

I went here for dinner with friends mid-week and it was very busy. It made for a nice atmosphere but the service was incredibly slow. We waited almost half an hour for starters and had to go to reception ourselves to chase up our bill. The food was excellent and plentiful though, and the price not bad for what you... More

Khana Khazana is more hyped up and there are much better choices for Indian food in Kampala. Of course the restaurant has a good ambiance, with a lovely outdoor seating among small ponds in the garden. The food though is quite average. I would, well recommend a visit for the atmosphere rather than the food.
